As long as you have a pup who wants to stay near you, this is an awesome little pooch-pouch! My 11lb terrier mix feels super secure when he is lounging in the bag, and comes running whenever I pull it out. I mostly use it to help him through getting to know visitors to our house, though I originally bought it to carry him over streams while we were segment hiking the Appalachian Trail this spring. Works great! Super light, plenty of room for him, soft and comfortable, easy to tote around, comfortable for me to wear. But again, if your pup is prone to jumping out, you may need another option. As for my pup and I, we love it!UPDATEBailey and I STILL love this bag. It continues to be indispensable during thunderstorms and trips to the vet, among many other uses. My dog is 12 lbs.No way can she sit in this with comfort. Its actually dangerous!!!Could be ok for a cat...never a dog. Not this one ...its not sturdy enough. The buckle is unsafe too...slipped right through and had to catch my dog. Bad dog product.

This carrier is a great size for my 13 lb Shih Tzu. It's a bit difficult to get him into, and he takes a bit to feel secure in it as the fabric is so lightweight. Until he relaxes into it, it has a feeling that he might fall out. He did relax well after I doubled the fabric strap thru the buckle which kept it from slipping thru and dropping him to the floor. Overall, light and comfy, and I would recommend it.

I also agree... don’t let the bad reviews deter you. If you are looking for a portable sling that you can take along in your purse or pocket, this is it! It’s super portable thanks to its ripstop nylon and self-contained pocket and carabiner. I have owned this for about 2 years now and love it. The people writing bad reviews about the strap slipping simply aren’t paying attention to the fact that you need to feed the loose end back through the buckle to secure it. If you don’t, of course it’s just going to slip out. But when done correctly it’s super secure and won’t budge! I use this all the time when I take my small service dog out... I clip it to her bag/carrier for those instances that I need to hold her a bit closer and hands free. And it’s great when we fly... once settled, I place her carrier under the seat, buckle in, and then secure her on me with the sling. She is so snug happy! I haven't found any other sling to be more convenient and portable!

Does what it says it should however it's cheaply made. Sewing was loosely done. I guess you get what you pay for. As much as my dog enjoys being held she is not a fan of this sling. Too big for her 8lbs body. Still trying to get her used to it cause she's elderly and can't walk long distances.

Great IDEA for traveling with a small pet. At first I thought and wrote "Very comfortable for both pet and self". However, since then I finally had a chance to use this for a recent trip. The material is slippery and so the strap won't hold. I have a 4 pound tea cup poodle and while I was at the airport gate the strap slipped totally out. If I had not had my hand under my dog, she would have fallen to the ground with the sling. I had to tie a knot in it to avoid it from slipping again. If I could get a refund for this product and return it I would. Again, the Idea is great but it needs a couple of updates.

Great product... doesn’t hurt my shoulder like a regular pet bag would do with the strap. The material is very light and both my dogs love it. I have an older dog chihuahua and he loves it (he got very cozy). I didn’t think at first my dog was comfortable but they just need to adjust themselves and they will be fine.
