The Haynes manuals are the standard for DIY warriors. For those who aren't affraid to work on their own vehicle, but are not professionals, the Haynes manual is perfect. You get complete disassembly & reassembly instructions with pictures and diagrams for everything you'll encounter. Always read the entire section before starting a disassembly. Gather all parts and tools as well. You'll know very quickly if the task is something you can handle or if it's better done by a pro.

I just got my hands on a 88 z31 n/a manual for my first project car. I’m taking this car apart down to the chassis. YouTube definitely helps a lot, but this book will go into every little detail there is about this car. A must have if you own a z31. This one is the cheapest I could find on Amazon. One negative I will say is I wish the pictures were better quality but it’ll get the job done.
