Born in Warrington, she moved to Manchester in the 1980s, where she found the inspiration for her novels. She spent ten years living in the infamous Hulme Crescents and was a professional singer for many years before turning her hand to writing. She has three children, three grandchildren, and still writes and records songs with her musician partner, Wingrove, between books.

Awful Awful Awful - where’s Mandasues usual flair
Awful!! If this had been the first Heller book I’d read I wouldn’t be trying another.Completely unbelievable with nothing endearing about any of the main characters. Both sisters met and got engaged to/moved in men within 2 weeks of meeting them, 2 men scruffy smelly with no likeable qualities that would be appealing. A third man rich handsome that fell in love with the second jobless, self centred, rude sister instantly. My 9yo writes with more descriptive capabilities that this book has. Complete and utter drivel. Please get back to your usual fabulous style Mandasue this doesn’t even feel like your writing

can't believe i finished this book
truly awful. dreadful self obsessed characters. as for the main character, what a door mat. surely she must have had a brain cell somewhere . this is one of the worst books i have ever read. usually love her books but certainly not this one

Disappointed
This story ,to me, is so unlike all her previous novels. I suppose it does deal with an up to date problem, namely stalking, but I found it quite boring and nothing like her normal novels which are usually gangster related. I certainly do not recommend this book for Mandasue Heller followers.

Newest book
Well I have read all books by this author and I love her books, this one I am disappointed ok it was readable but not to the usual calibre of Ms Heller. I usually read one of her books in a day this took me a week,it very similar to another book I have read previously but can't remember by who.

Dissapointed
I did not find this book A Gritty and Gripping Crime Thriller. It revolved family squabbles between sisters and their partner/husbands.It is only in the last two chapters that we see any life and that does take some believing. I know that this is fiction, but come on!This is nothing like the books we associate with Mandasue and I hope she soon reverts back to he normal style..

So disappointed in author
Very disappointed this definitely is not the most gritty griping crime thriller, boring and repetitive, disappointing as other books have been fantastic

Disappointing
I love a mandasue Heller book and couldn't wait to start this one. Overall I was very disappointed. Personally I guessed the plot from very very early on and continued to read th e book hoping for a twist along the way, but sadly this didn't happen. Very predictive.
