Geriatric Chihuahua Approves!
My chihuahua has been litterbox trained since she was a puppy. When it's nice out she goes outside but still uses the "box" at night or when we are not home. She always has access to it. She is now 14 and has taken to eating the litter as well as dirt! We do not have cats so there isn't any cat poop to eat. This problem arises just like licking their paws. It could be allergies(haven't changed her food), boredom or senility. Besides eating the litter I am also tired of it tracking through my house. I removed the litter box, moped and cleaned the area well and set out the grass. I did this in the morning. I told her about it all day and she looked at it every time. Before we went to bed that night she used it! Pooping on it took a few days and a not so accidental poop on the coach, but she did it at night when she had to go. We are patient because she is old. The set comes with an extra grass which is very helpful. I bought other pads at the store. I knew going into this that finding small pads was probably not going to happen but I just folded the sides and that made them 13" with extra sticking out on the ends. She doesn't care and pees on the grass. I just pick up the poop with a baggy and if it's messy I bring to the basement to clean in the sink. I change the pad almost everyday. I bring the trash over to it to make it easier. I kept the litter box to transport everything when it all needs to be washed. The pad it comes with doesn't soak anything up! The pack I bought works great, no leaking when I lift up to remove. Still work involved and you will eventually find a routine that works for you the more you use it. For me it is amazing she can no longer eat the litter and it is not all over my house.

Love
This is great I just wished I could order another one without the grass. Since it came with 2 grass pads.It is easy to clean. The grass is thick and great quality. I use mine on the patio since I do not have a yard.

Works for Potty Train - But the smelll when cleaning, YUCK!!!
I’ll start with the only downside so far, which is just that when I cleaned it earlier…Omigosh the smell of pee was so strong in the grey hole mat in between pan and grass…I almost threw up. The smell is absolutely awful, so I would recommend cleaning it weekly or being able to clean it somewhere with a strong hose.So far the toilet has work for our small 3.8lb puppy but I know if he was any bigger it wouldn’t have worked out. The grass pad is just heavy enough where he doesn’t try to drag it out of the pan but he tried to in the beginning. If you have a big puppy who likes to drag their pee pad, or anything new in the house, it’s probably not a good idea. I really like the idea as we are potty training and live on an upper floor. Overall, it works out well! It doesn’t smell (unless you are cleaning it) and it is taking a lot of work but my puppy is almost 100% potty trained on it!

Works great, with a little modifications.
It's important to note the body of the tub does not hold down the sod, as it's only sitting on the raised honeycomb pads. With that said, after installing into the pin, all 8 pups headed straight to the attractive edges of the sod that were slightly angled up due to packaging. The second picture is the first piece of sod after 8 hours. I decided to attempt to eliminate this by taking a spare piece of ABS plastic (this stuff is sold everywhere) and cut it to the exact size of the top of the tub. I then cut out a rectangle so it to still be accessible by measuring inward 5" in each direction. This created a lip over the edges of the tub, which will hopefully keep the grass down. After this, I had to make it solid but removable. I decided to take a router and cut small strips parallel to the tub top (1/2" diameter) and secured it with screws. This design took about and hour to complete, but for me was a necessary step for it to last.

I love it! It does takes some practice and training
It takes some practice and training but that goes with anything you teach a new pup to do. It took me about a month We got it when our little chi was about 3 months old and about a pound and a half. She’s not expected to get over 5-6 lbs so I’m hopeful we can use it for a long time. She had been used to peeing on a regular pad so at first I put the pad in the hard plastic container and she used it. Then I put the grass in and sprayed it with a “go here” product and it worked like a charm. She uses it in the bathroom and when she goes in there with me (and they all do!) she also goes potty because I use the word “peepee” so she understands what that is now. I put the extra grass pad with a pee pad under it outside on the porch for when she’s sunbathing and hanging out and I’ve never found a pee spot on the porch. I really need about three more to put in various places. She also prefers to poop on the grass than the floor, so yay! Much praise is given for whatever she does on the grass. This is a very helpful product to use with a small dog that can’t go outside alone. Just consider the size of your puppy when buying, as the size I got IS for small dogs.

Smells terrible after only 2 times of my puppy using it
Piece of junk. Followed instructions on how to put together. My puppy has pee’d on this grass pad only “two” times and it smells terribly now. The pee is “suppose” to go through the holes onto the disposable pee pad but evidently is saturating the artificial grass. Not worth keeping and not worth the price. Requested a refund

SMELLS LINGER
The pads hold the pee smell and it smells HORRIBLE. My puppy has only had these for a week. I’ve soaked it in vinegar and water, I’ve washed it with antibacterial soap, I’ve cleaned it with cleaning sprays and wipes… NOTHING WORKS. The pads still smell. I even tried spraying air fresheners on it. Not sure how this works so well for other people, smell may be better for those keeping it on a porch/balcony but maybe not in the house. The tray itself doesn’t smell still, only the grass pad. Wouldn’t buy again.

She uses it!
Betty Boop has a tiny bladder, but she loves this “grass” enough to use it most of the time. We put it in the laundry room under on the floor under the cats’ litter boxes. She got the idea right away, so I bought a second one for our en suite. Happy dog and ecstatic puppy parents.

Works great!!
This is great. It has saved my girlfriends floor from her puppy. He's figired out that he is to pee in this instead now when we dont get him out fast enough after a play session . Didn't take long for him to learn. Great for when weather is miserable. The grass patch has sewn edges so it's harder for the puppy or dog to bite at. It's also super easy to clean. I used some dish soap and scubbed it on both sides before hosing it off. Same with the lift mat and catch tray. It will likely smell over time but that's ok. Well worth it. The smell out of the box wasn't terrible (the plastic smell people complain about) burn some scented candles or something... having the 2nd grass mat wax great cuz having one dry after washing while one is in use was great. Wish there was a post of some kind for the leg lifting.

J'avais un doute concernant la grandeur du bac mais mon chihuahua l'a vite adopté. Visuellement c'est mieux car on ne voit aucune tache d'urine et il n'y a pas d'odeur. Je suis ravie et je recommande cet article

Used with rabbits
bought for our oldest rabbit to rest on during his final weeks after a few years of suffering "floppy bunny" disease rendering his back legs less mobile , worked great to prevent him from sitting in a wet pool of pee , elevating the majority of his body on the artificial grass . Since then our other rabbits have used it as a poop tray and i believe a scent marking spot as i have not seen anything since elsewhere , although this could be just because we only have 1 male now so he has no need to be territorial
