Okay I had new finished Oak hardwood floors installed in my home. The stairs I wanted unfinished Oak rather then Pine so as to when I made up my mind as to how I would finish them. Paint, stain, clear poly, semi-gloss, or whatever. I decided to have the stairs match the blonde semi gloss flooring. Did the sanding, and all the prep work myself because I like to do the things I feel I can do and have the tools needed. Did all the prep work and after several coats of polyurethane the stairs and risers looked great. But the stairs were not safe as they were a bit slippery if you weren't careful walking up or down them. After a slip on the stairs I decided to check out what I could put on the steps to make them safe for walking on them and would also not take away from the finish. Decided on this product because it came in a 15 size pack unlike some that only came in 10 which is less then I needed. Well I made a template the size of the product so I could install all on the stairs in the correct location. Took my time and have to say the results were great, but the roller only has pins holding it to handle. And it fell out after the fourth step. Also noticed that black dust from pressing down on the roller was leaving small metal dust marks on the tread. This came up with a little effort after I was done. Be careful when placing the tread down as it will stick with little effort, so just pull a small portion of the peel off cellophane off align it and work it down with slight pressure letting its own weight to adhere to the step. Then working from the middle to either end begin rolling it so it adheres without any air bubbles pressing hard and rolling to the end and edges and then doing the same to the other end. You should have few if any air bubbles and the edges should be adhered so tightly that you would not be able to get your fingernails under them. Hope I have helped with my experience with this product.

Excellent product. We have had these treads in plce for several weeks now, and could not be more pleased. They are truly "slip-proof". The application was very easy, and they show off our newly-painted stairs very well. The treads do not capture fabric fuzz or animal hairs and are very easy to clean.

I purchased this product for my somewhat-steep hardwood stairs to prevent my older dog from slipping. They were easy and quick to install and I did not have any trouble with air bubbles during installation. The clear stair treads are easy to clean, do not collect dog hair or dirt and are doing exactly as intended. My older dog will actually go down the stairs unassisted again thanks to these pads. The only suggestion I have for the company is to include both installation and removal instructions in the package. Removal instructions were not included, though I assume they will be easy to remove if needed. I would definitely purchase again.

We bought this when we replaced our carpeted stairway with a wood finish. Our large dog had issues with the slipperiness of the wood finish especially going down the stairs. We bought this to solve the issue. Easy to apply. The dog adjusted well and was able to go down the stairs rapidly as he did with carpeted stairs. Problem solved. The treads have never loosen or come off so adhesive is strong. Recommend for concerned pet owners or children/elderly that could slip on smooth non carpeted finishes.

Because of how these are made, they are not clear in their appearance when put on wood stairs. I returned them. I'd suggest these for the basement or stairs hidden in your home, but not where you can see them.

Simple to install but takes time to make sure they are all aligned, look fine, not invisible but acceptable, made my wood stairs much safer and less slippery. Would recommend and use again.

I gave this 3 stars because I can't speak for how well they will protect your steps, I can only say they have air bubble even after using the roller and they look very bad on dark wood steps

These stair treads were just what we were looking for. i can enjoy the beauty of my wood stairs and still feel safe in letting my grandchildren use them. Easy to install and work great.
