Excellent film for everyday use
When I bought this film I did not have high expectations. My initial thinking was that this would be an inexpensive B&W film to shoot on the cheap in my vintage cameras, but was I proven wrong! This film rivals Kodak Tmax 400 and the grain that it produces is really fine and pleasing. I have shot a couple of 12-exposure test rolls and all images came out nice. In the test run I have used a Tiffen Yellow 15 filter and an ND2 filter as it was a bright sunny day. It appears that this film has slightly less contrast than Kodak Tmax, but it handles highlights much better, again in my opinion. Next, I am going to test run this film with an Orange O2 filter to give it more contrast. Overall I am very pleased with this film. Given that this is an ISO400, it will probably perform even better in the lower light.Update: I have tried pushing this film one stop and this did produce better contrast. I conclude this film performs far better in a low light conditions as opposed to broad daylight.

So so film
I can't comment yet regarding the preciseness of the grain, contrast and compatibility with the usual processing chemicals, but I can say that it does not feel as strong as Fuji or Kodak films. It feels flimsy in the hands when loading reels and I find it hard to get started in stainless reels because of a lack of stiffness I find in higher quality films. Certainly a good value when you're starting off and remembering how to process B&W film, but my next bulk order will be a higher quality film.

I love working with this film
For the price, this is some really good film. It performs best in lower light, and has a fair amount of grain, so be prepared for that. If this is what you're looking for, then you've found a good cost effective option. By my rough math, at $37 per 100' (not including tax/shipping), I spend less than $1.50 per roll of 36 exposures.

Good tonality, moderate grain, and reasonably priced
I have used UFX 400 and 100 along with the famous brands since 2014. I buy in bulk and develop my own film. UFX compares well with the big sellers at about half the price. Of particular benefit, the film dries flat and thus much easier to scan than the Kodak films. I've noticed that some photographers complain that the film produces inconsistent results. I have not found that this is the case. I have shot about 13K images since resurrecting my interest in film. I currently have four bulk loaders. Two are loaded with UFX 100 and 400, and the other two are loaded with Ilford films, namely Delta 100 and HP5+. I also have rolls of Ilford 3200 and Kodak Tri-X on rolls waiting to be shot. In spite of the variety of film awaiting use, 80% of the time, I choose UFX.I consider myself an advanced amateur but do not rely on photography for my livelihood. This may make a difference to some. For me, UFX 35mm and 120mm have performed well and I have my frig well stocked.

Great film, amazing price!
The price of this film is incredibly low. If you develop it yourself (and you should, it is easy) a 35 frame roll of film shot and developed costs me less than $2.00.The quality is excellent. I love how it turns out. Some of my best pictures have been taken with this film. The grain is barely noticeable, even when pushed a stop or two. I have tried may other black and white films. I personally have no reason to use anything but this.

Love this film, and love the price
Great stuff for the price. I have shot it in 5 different camera and I like each one! I can see myself shooting this for years because of the quality and the price! I probably pay around $3 per roll or less since I usually only do 24 shots.

I’ve already shot and developed 4 rolls of 36 exposure and they came out great. The negatives print out great as well
This is the first film that I rolled myself, I’ve already shot and developed 4 rolls of 36 exposure and they came out great. The negatives print out great as well. I’ll definitely be reordering when it come time to.

Great film to push to 1600
Found this film to be rather flat and boring when shot at box speed, but push it to 1600 and shoot it at night with a fast lens and it is an absolute treat to shoot with. Super cheap so if you're looking for a film to shoot for keeping your skills sharp and practice this is a great choice!
