Sand & Cement Mortar Mix - 5kg

EASY TO USE , RIGHT SIZE BAG AND CORRECT AMOUNT FOR SMALLISH JOBS. THE REPAIR JOB THAT I NEEDED IT FOR HAS NOW BEEN COMPLETED FOR ONE MONTH AND STILL LOOKS GOOD- NO CRACKING OR SHRINKAGE. WOULD USE PRODUCT AGAIN.

As a 1990's bricklayer this cement reminds me of the blue circle cement brand that we used all the time on the building sites. This is exactly like it. The mix from what i can tell is 4 -1 (4 sand 1 cement).I used this to re-point the damp proof course on my house, the old cement had turned black from age.Mixing was really easy, if you are not familiar with mixing cement just add a little water at a time until you get the right consistency.This premix did not even need plasticiser, it was very workable!According to the bag it should lay 4 bricks worth on a 10 mil bed, but from what i can tell it could be slightly more as i still have a quarter of a bag left over which is great.Delivery was roughly a week and it came in secure black packaging.An excellent product for small jobs.Im super happy with this! Easy to mix. I used a large board, like builders do, to ensure adequate mixing of powders and water. Be careful no to add too much water and work it in with trowel to get the correct consistency. Worked well to fill larger holes in concrete floor, in preparation for laying laminate. However, a bag does not go very far. Buying bags of sand and cement separately would be a much better option if you are filling larger areas.

Several sections of a rough cast wall had cracked, some badly, so I needed a solution.. I previously tried outdoor, ready mixed , fillers without any lasting effect. This however is the real thing. Once mixed it was easy to press into said cracks, smooth over, dimple and after 24 hours paint over. The result looks good.

Does the job, fit for the purpose intended pointing a rustic garden wall. The bag is very small and I did not received the bag in the image. We had a delivery issue but the company does use yodel so par for the course. I wouldn’t buy again but that’s due to cost.

The supplied bag had holes so the sand was leaking out. The bag contained separate sand and concrete so mixing is required which wasn't made clear. Worst thing was that the sand in this case was red sand so not suitable for any repairs to pointing, etc that are going to be visible.
