Rounded shackle hole
Compatible with soft shackle due to rounded hole. Sizing is a bit loose in receiver.

Safer than using the ball hitch
I have just used the ball on my hitch many times to tie onto and pull stuff. It really is not safe. This device is well made, comes with everything you need. Better way to do things.
