Bought this for installing frets on guitars, and to be honest, I can't think what else I'd use it for!Absolute bargain, as this is a BEAUTIFUL hammer to use. The hickory shaft fits comfortably in your palm, the head is a good weight for keeping bounce-back to a minimum, and the heads can also be replaced once they're no longer serviceable. It's absolutely perfect in use, feeling like an extension of your arm as all good tools should.Highly recommended for the luthier who likes to hammer frets home, old school style!

Bought this for a current assembly project. Laser cut wood shapes fitting into each other. I wanted some light weight gentle persuasion and this little hammer has a good weight / balance / size ratio. The shaft is 26cm long and the oval grip fits nicely in the hand.

I purchased both the Thor 410 and the Thor 408 in the last few days but needed the soft gray faces. The product itself is good ---BUT!!! beware the 4 series hammers went out of production many years ago and replacement faces are extremely difficult to obtain. Also be aware that the 7 series Hammer faces (replaced the 4 series) DO NOT fit the 4 series hammers some distributors will have you believe they do. If you are looking for a Plastic hammer would suggest purchasing the Thor 7 series. Basically I now have two obsolete plastic hammers in my possession and some 7 series faces that won't fit them.

feels nicely balanced in the hand , replaceable plastic ends , compact but heavy enough to tackle double glazing beads and diy projects , would purchase again .

Excellent plastic hammer. Good for hitting things with. You can even turn the hammer round and hit them some more with the other side. Replace the faces when all that hitting has worn them (and you) out.
