What a beautiful timepiece - I love its simplicity, the 40mm face is perfect and low profile, the dial is easy to read thanks to the stark contrast between the jet black arms and white face which itself seems to be illuminated by the silver inner ring. The movement is slick - you can see the minutes arm sweeping by microsteps as the seconds arm sweeps by. Everything about this watch is precise -the quality engineering and, importantly, its time keeping. If I had the budget I'd go for the mechanical automatic variant, which is over twice the price, but I have a feeling I will be enjoying this quartz model for many years.It's an absolute classic.

At first I thought the 40mm face was a touch large. I've now had the watch on for a month and got very used to it. The clarity of the dial and the unique second hand is outstanding. I did try and get a back lit one with the date but I was unable to find that combination with a 40mm face. The smaller faces are more for ladies. The metal strap is very comfortable and in hot weather it's an improvement on a leather one where the sweat tends to spoil the strap. Overall for the money this is a superb buy. Highly recommended.

Distinct watch style with railway heritage. Build quality of watch case and bracelet is good. Expected of this price range. Would have preferred better water resistance but this isn’t a sports watch. The reviews complaining about the date change being “faulty” ie having to cycle to 39 to get back to 1, is because of the 2 x date wheels are form people who don’t understood how the Ronda big date module works. Overall a very clean legible watch.

Delighted. Watches are a subjective pleasure. I'm not desperate to own a Rolex and the Mondaine looks good and is easy to read. With the savings on a Rolex I've bought a new pick up truck (to go with my concrete mixer). And it tells the time well. The second hand points exactly at each of the five divisions between the numbers which is inordinately pleasing to me.

I cannot recommend this watch enough! It's large white face and large date display is easy to read. I like the precise movement of the red second hand. The slight curve on the watch case is really nice, giving a smooth line and seamless join to the base. The wrist strap is easy to adjust, you just need a thin strong point to gently ease open the moveable clasp and it pops open. adjust as required and use your fingers to squeeze it back down till it snaps back into place. I used the point of some small nail scissors. Make sure though when snapping the clasp back down again it is fully alined with the small indentations on the wrist strap.

About half the price of the Mondaine watch which I returned as not working properly. This one is more attractive and easier to wear. A really nice watch with which I am completely satisfied. Fully recommend to prospective buyers. This really is the Mondaine that you should choose.

Ho atteso tanto, forse troppo prima di acquistare questo orologio. Per fortuna ho trovato il pretesto per farmi un regalo con la "r" maiuscola ed... ho fatto benissimo!!!! Premetto che lo stile del quadrante deve piacere perché, di fatto, è diverso da tanti altri che ci sono in giro. La particolarità che secondo me fa la differenza nel modello EVO 2 è che le pareti interne della cassa scendono verticalmente verso l'interno quindi, non essendoci ghiere o spessori superflui, questo dettaglio restituisce un impatto di orologio "a tutto quadrante". Ed a me piace proprio per questa sostanziale differenza. Se a tutto questo aggiungiamo: - la presenza di un vistoso doppio quadrante per l'indicazione della data; - il cinturino in maglia milanese del giusto spessore e della giusta larghezza rispetto alle dimensioni della cassa; - l'inconfondibile lancetta rossa dei secondi che richiama la paletta utilizzata dai ferrovieri svizzeri, ecco servito un mix equilibrato, elegante, giovanile, ultra-sfruttabile, per nulla scontato e degno di un apprezzamento anche da coloro che lo osservano con un occhio assolutamente disinteressato. Sottolineo ed esalto la spedizione accurata e fulminea, nonchè la garanzia debitamente compilata e timbrata dal venditore fisico. Soddisfatto al 110%!
