Gave it 4 stars because on squeezing it the unit was sticking. Resolved it read review
So after using a ppastic version of this from blackstone which broke twice and one time sticking so badly I decided to get the new and improved version. Apparently so,e were complaining it leaked. The first thing i did was test it with water, no leaks. I think the made the seal tighter. I was ready to return this as well due to the fact it was sticking as well when I pulled on the trigger. A friend of mine say spray it with wd-40 which of course iād never do. So i had an idea and smeared a little olive oil around the hole where the batter comes out and sure enough no more sticking. The unit is solidly built unlike the cheap plastic versions and it worked like a charm.

Not a great purchase
I purchased this to use for our club's annual pancake supper. The woman who does the pancake making found it hard to use; batter did not come out evenly, so she had uneven sizes of pancakes for the first batch of 12 she made. Batter didn't all come out, so she quit using this item. It was difficult to get it cleaned up enough. Someone else took it home, so I have no idea if that person likes it or not.

Great Idea but...
Loved the idea of a steel batter dispenser and this one seemed to fit the bill. After having my second plastic one break, both of which were bigger name brand items and each in the neighborhood on $20-25 each, I thought a steel one would be a good upgrade especially considering the price point being equal to my previous units.. And, it would have been except for a few glaring issues. First, the steel around the squeeze trigger handle is sharp and would easily cut your finger(s) if you were at all careless. Not something I want to give to my kids. Second, the silicone pour spout doesn't seal well enough to prevent thinner batters from leaking. And third, the pour spout has some issue where the batter doesn't pour as freely as with my previous two dispensers. The result is that the batter may not land exactly where you were intending on your skillet.

1 out of 2 were good; nifty idea.
Bought 2 of them for pancake party; good idea with some issues.Pro:Idea of mixing, measuring and pouring from 1 container for camping was greatGood for kids to make "less" of a mess, well in theory.Stainless with lid!Simple cleaningCon:Do not put in powder first; clogs the nozzleDoes not work great with thicker mixesQuality controlOut of the 2 I bought; one of them had issues with mechanism and never really worked well. Just threw away eventually.

Easy to use, easy clean up, highly reccomend.
I absolutely love this product! I have always been interested in a product like this, but I never wanted to try a plastic product, once I found a metal one I snatched it up! It's very easy to use, did not leak at all. Now it's easier for me to make pancakes. A quick tip, I use butter at the bottom so the batter won't stick to it and the clean up will also be easier. I have also tried it for cupcakes, and it definitely made everything easier before I wouldn't evenly fill the cups and now they are all perfect. I can't reccomend this product enough! I highly reccomend it.

Sturdy but Tends to Leak.
This was a replacement for a cheapo plastic dispenser that lasted about a month before it fell apart. Quality of construction is reasonably good and it appears to be sturdy. Only problem, it leaks if you are using a thin batter. Seems to be okay with thicker batters however.

Performs Well if Batter Is Correct
I like the dispenser. It does what it's supposed to do without drips if the batter isn't too thin. I haven't tried crepes, yet, out of fear that it would be too thin and then drip ā both because of leakage and because it wouldn't shut off fast enough when released. I like the weight, even though I expected heavier gauge steel. Thicker batters, such as for fruit muffins don't seem to work well for me.
