THE END FOR REDDINGTON? GRIPPING DEVELOPMENTS!
From the series' very start there had been what some would call a very dodgy deal. Ruthless master criminal Raymond Reddington has billions secretly stashed all over the world, influential contacts in virtually every country, he truly a force to reckon with. Out of the blue he stunned America's Secret Service by offering his vast resources to help rid the planet of major villains. All are on his "blacklist" and he knows exactly how to get at them. Just two conditions: full immunity for his own crimes and inclusion in the Task Force of Elizabeth Keen. Why her? Ever since, this has been the cause of intense speculation.Season 3 ended with a shocker. What for Reddington now with everything changed? There is no holding back in Season 4. Almost at once comes a stunning revelation. It causes Reddington to make the biggest mistake of his life - creation of a powerful new enemy determined to bring him down.Hitherto James Spader's acclaimed portrayal of Reddington has been the main reason to watch. Without mentioning names, this time round another character increasingly dominates the screen. Here is one who propels the show to a new height, I surely amongst many fans cheering every stage of the ingenious campaign to reduce Reddington to nothing.Prepare here for an increasingly merciless battle of wits, with no guarantee how it will end.Twenty two episodes. Three commentaries. Bonuses include a very interesting one on Reddington's nemesis.End of the series? One can be forgiven for thinking so. Instead a spin-off was quickly axed, it to be replaced by THE BLACKLIST 5.

Just Brilliant!
The Blacklist has literally stolen 3 weeks of my life. It was recommended by a friend, after episode 2 season 1, I was completely hooked!! Every lunch break, cigarette break and even in the bath I had it playing on my phone and kindle, it consumed my evenings! To say I LOVE it would be an understatement. I adore the characters; James Spader is a phenomenal actor, massively alluring and oh so bad! Megan Boone and the gorgeous Ryan Eggold really compliment each other in so much as you really feel part of the action and their lives. All of the characters should be praised for their great work creating this and writer Jon Bokenkamp is utter genius! Crafting each episode in such a way it evokes emotion after emotion. Absolutely brilliant thrill ride of a series, I'm so excited for the next installment after following all the characters through their journey and being left on quite a cliffhanger!! Roll on season 5!

Ludicrous.....but very watchable
Once you get into the story......it is ludicrous, but ludicrously entertaining. You soon take each episode as it comes as the underlying two stories of the Cabal and the life and times of Elizabeth Keen are the more enjoyable segment. As I said it is ludicrous in so many ways not least the firepower they unload on US city streets and nobody appears to pay an attention is outrageous but it draws you in and you look forward to the next episode. The main characters are actually very good and some times you wonder how they keep a straight face not least Keen's wedding but it is all good escapism. Have series 4 to go which will be interesting as I was feeling as 3 was unfolding that a fourth series might be a bridge to far but I will find out.

Worth it!
I started watching this on Netflix (US) it was included in the subscription over there. I was sad to find out I had to pay extra to watch my favourite series when I moved to the UK, but honestly worth every penny.

Very engaging series, with many plots and subplots, and brilliant acting, especially by James Spader. I am currently binge watching all series!
