This book goes much deeper than into the functions and features of the owners manual. I highly recommend it to Yaesu 991A users.

Some crucial diagrams are too compact to read, too light, too jam-packed to fit on 'a' page. Some screen grabs are too light to read. Will need to return due to these issues. Sure wish the publisher would have looked closer at the finished product. If I have a uniquely poorly printed copy, I hope Andrew tells his publisher. I ASSUME all v1.1 books are similar.

I’ve read the manufacturer’s manual and been confused several times. Andrew makes the topics very easy to understand and puts in his own recommendations (not just the “defaults”). I’m recommending this book as a “Must Have” for any FT-991A owner - especially new owners.

Please see Headline, tells the full story.From my own view, am more use to 'older' radios and dont always appreciate todays Bells and Whistle.Am pro-Yeasu and have had a number of their radios over the years.I chose to buy the book, as the reviewer mentioned that the FY-991A radio will operate the Yaesu AT120 tunable antenna/aerial. But it does not do this on VHF/UHF frequencies, a real deficiency, a big let down on a radio which otherwise gives HF, 6mtrs, 2mtrs and 70cms and all modes!

This book is set out in an easy format to follow.
