First of all, it does what it’s supposed to ...
First of all, it does what it’s supposed to and it is less expensive than many others I looked at. However, (I’m probably just being picky) it doesn’t have a detent to hold it to the ratchet. Also (at least with my application) it’s a very snug fit and it’s kind of difficult to get off the filter, especially without any detent.

Loose fit
Used on my Porsche 981. Fit was loose, but tapping it on tightened it sufficiently to make work.

It should fit any vw passat model from 2012 to 2018 unless vw changed the design of oil filter.
