The MHU Pro Tapered Curling Iron is a great curling wand for creating bouncy curls. The curling wand is easy to use and comes with the wand and two clips to pin hair up. The curling wand has 9 temperature settings that are great for almost any hair type. While this curling wand is technically just another curling wand, this one does excel at heating up fastly. It will heat up in less than 30-seconds, and even has a safety feature to automatically shut off after 60 minutes.This curling wand has a short hair clip, which in my opinion, works best and leaves you without those annoying hair creases. Though this is just another curling wand, the quality is great and it works really well.

I couldn't figure this thing out, so I gave it to a teenager. She was able to work wonders with it, and says it's her favorite curler now. It does take a bit of practice, but it's easy to use once you understand it. There are several YouTube videos (google: short clamp curling iron) and tutorials that can help. Overall, this feels sturdy and functions well.

Pros:- The curling iron heated up quickly and was easy to handle- My wife liked the included alligator clips so that it's easy to section her hair while she worked through it (although she has very thick hair and could have used at least two more)- The kickstand was very nice to keep the iron off of the counter to avoid scorchingCons:- The small clamp made it very difficult for my wife to manage the curling iron. She would have much prefered a clamp that runs the full length of the iron. Particularly with a tapered iron - you can only use it on one part of the iron rather than being able to vary the tightness of your curls based on the part of the iron being used.Overall, it's a good value for your money and if you don't mind the short clamp then it could be a great fit for you. However, my wife went back to her Bio Ionic curling iron and was happier (not surprisingly, it's about 5x the cost - I'd probably be mad if she liked this one better)Recommendation: If a better curling iron isn't in your budget then this is pretty decent for the price, but I would recommend the Bio Ionic if you're looking for a really great tool.

I haven't tried a tapered wand before but once I got it down it was pretty easy and makes really pretty curls! It heated up pretty fast and haven't had any issues with it at all!

This tapered curling wand does work and it comes with 2 hair clips to assist while styling. It heats up very quickly and have a lever to prop it up when setting it down so your table won't get burnt. It starts heating up very quickly. First time using this type of wand, but after a couple tries was able to successfully use to obtain some cute light waves/curls.

This curling iron did not turn on - I had it in my power strip and it clearly had other chargers which were working. The plug also seemed to struggle to fit in the outlet and I tried a few on my powerstrip. I went to a different outlet and still nothing. I also found it odd that the stand in the "stand" position was coated in some sort of rubber / electrical tape that would have the hot barrel resting on it when on. If I closed the stand, it fit perfectly under the area of the iron that you hold. I definitely think that would be a fire hazard in some way.

This curling wand allows you to create multiple styles because of the varying diameter of the barrel. The short wand is something I had to get used to as I had never used a short barrel curling wand before. It didn’t take long, though, before I really started to get the hang of it. The iron heats up very quickly, which is convenient. I like that there is a kick-stand so that you don’t have to worry about burn marks on your counter. Some I have tried did not have that feature. The digital display is easy to read, however I do feel that the handle for the clamp is a little bit in the way of seeing it straight on. It’s not that big of a problem, though. The 3 buttons are simple to use and understand. The power button does have to be held for a few seconds before powering on. I believe that is a safety feature, which I appreciate. The heat level buttons on each side are immediately responsive. I also appreciate the clips as I have very long, thick hair and those are handy for keeping hair out of the way. I like this curling wand and can recommend it.

I really like that this one curling wand can create a variety of different curls, so it's really handy when traveling or if you live in a small space. It's also a good option for a college student who might not have room to take multiple curling wands to school with them. The curling wand feels good in your hands and is easy to use. The on/off and heat setting buttons are very intuitive and the wand heats up fast! The long press to turn on and the auto-shut off are nice safety features and the cool- touch tip is handy to give you a place to hold the wand without burning yourself, though I think they should have included a heat resistant glove because its easy to accidentally touch the wand when curling. Thankfully I have an extra so I just put it on when using this wand. I feel like this MHU PRO Tapered Curling Wand is a good value, and with the 50% off coupon going on right now, its a great value!
