We have a cat with some facial trauma and he drools a lot so we were looking for a machine washable bed for him. This works great for him and he also started using it shortly after putting it out for him. We've had a few cold fronts in the area recently and noted he will go into the bed during the colder parts of the day. When we felt inside the bed it was quite warm from his body heat! While I wouldn't recommend this specifically as a solution to keep them warm during cold weather, it does retain some of their heat to keep the inside warmer than the ambient temperature in the room. We have pushed the top down on warmer days and this functions as expected as an open bed. The bed itself is indeed small, so if you have a big furbaby you may need to look for the larger one instead.

I bought this cat cave bed for our new 8 week old kitten. He slept in it the very first night we put it out beside his regular bed. All in all the quality is nice, but the "pad" insert is very thin, so I put a flannel shirt inside of the bed and it does the trick. I would recommend this bed. It's small, but that's what I was looking for. I think he'll still be able to use it as an adult as well.

My antisocial cat really loves it. It is his little cocoon. The only thing I don't like is the "pillow". It is NOT a pillow, it is a little blanket. It is virtually useless, it provides no padding & ends up wadded up or pushed out or pulled out (if it catches his claws). I have gotten him other tepee beds with more padding, but he would much rather have his little cave so A+ for the design of that!!

I think it's cute (a bit smaller than I thought it would be) but both cats demanded a thorough sniff inspection. The smaller of the two has been using it, especially when we toss & turn to much for her, and the non slip pad on the bottom works well. My Big Boy (14 lbs of muscle and fur, about the size of a small dog but taller and longer; bigger than the dog in the picture) decided it was too small after getting about half of him inside. He hasn't tried sleeping on top of it. Have yet to wash it. Seems well made, but time will tell.

I do like this little cat cave. It looks very cozy in there. Unfortunately my kitty doesn't seem to care for it. She did go in there one time, came right back out, hasn't been in since. I tried pushing it down into a bed. Nope, she won't go for that either. I measured it, and it's smaller than the listed 18" x 16" x 14". I think if it were a little bigger, she might use it. It's soft and cute and cozy and very nice, and I bet most cats would love it, just not my fussy kitty.

I have a little four pound ex-barn cat and a huge floofy 16 pound ragdoll. After being apprehensive of this bed for a few days, my little cat warmed up to it and loves it! The floof, however, doesn’t fit. He can jam himself through the hole but can’t turn around in there. I would check the measurements against your cat’s current bed before ordering—this should be fine for a small or medium cat, but might not work if you have a real big meow.

My cat really likes the bed and and I like the no slip material on the bottom. My concern is with the size I ordered the large size and was very glad I did. My cat is not a large cat by any stretch but she would not have fit in the smaller size and this larger size is non too roomer for her either. They really need to come out with an extra large size based on what I have seen of a large I doubt anything larger that a small kitten a small Yorkie or maybe a tea cup poodle would fit in it. I would also like to see more color variety

I first bought this for my Yorkshire Terrier ( tea cup ) as an alternative sleeping area since he likes to sleep under covers. It took about a week for him to be convinced to go in on his own. I tried treats and at first he would reach in, but finally he has been using it. It's his "hiding place" and he loves it.
