Gripebelt is a new way to treat colic and upset stomach in your baby. Created by a doctor, it compresses bloated tummies, soothes with a warm gel pack, and distracts with toys and textures. A safe heatable gel pack tucks inside the plush toy, which is wrapped snuggly to your baby. And, the gel pack can also be used cold, to reduce inflammation after vaccine injections, or on older kids with bruises or other injuries.

she ends up smelling like burnt rice
I've purchased at least 5 baby products a week since my baby was born a few months ago...and this is my first review. Our baby has a milk protein allergy and has gas ALL the time...even though I'm rather careful about not eating dairy since I breastfeed. I've purchased gripe water, gas drops, magic tea, an elevated crib insert...all hoping they'd give her (and us) some peace. Recently I made her a rice sock we nicknamed "one-armed charlie" and found that placing it on her tum helped...however...she ends up smelling like burnt rice. I purchased this because of other good reviews and because of how cute it was. When it arrived I warmed it up and strapped it on her tummy and WOAH..instantly asleep. I didn't have to worry about it being too hot (my biggest fear with one-armed Charlie) and she still smells like a baby (not like burnt rice). Anyway...love this product (enough to type out my first amazon review with one hand while I hold baby).

Is this real life?!
I have a really cranky baby. Really. I've tried everything. I've worn her, bounced her, rocked her, used oils, gripe water, diet changes for me. You name it, I've tried it. I saw this little thing come across my Facebook feed. I hadn't tried it. It was cute and I figured if it didn't work my 3 year old would have a new thing-a-majig to add to her collection. You guys. Look at the picture. She woke up from a mini nap screaming like she needed an exorcism (or a good fart). I bounced, I shushed, I sang, I walked. And walked. The alligator tears were streaming down her face and the mom guilt was building. I remembered I had this waiting for a test drive. Popped the quality heat pad into the microwave for 30 seconds and placed it into the monster pouch. Wrapped this thing snug around her baby abs and waited for some magic. 60 seconds later this kid is passed out! An hour later she is still napping, and I'm not even holding her! What is happening???Seriously, buy one. It's cute, there's things to play with and stimulate senses if your kid is awake and if they are asleep there no danger of anything going over their face. There's a girly monster too (we happen to like blue and green in our house, regardless of gender).Obviously designed by a mom because it hits all the check boxes. Way to go, Aggie, MD!

Another disappointment in helping colic for my son
I was really excited for this cute little monster to come in. It arrived a bit later than expected which was the first disappointment considering I paid extra in shipping to get it as soon as possible. It is really cute and my son who is 3.5 months old got a huge smile on his face when he first saw it. My son has severe colic, gas, and possible reflux. I am one of those desperate moms who have purchased a plethora of products. I have literally tried everything to help my son and ease his distress, if not eliminate it all together. I read the reviews, many calling it a lifesaver and that their child fell asleep within minutes. My son has significant difficulties falling and staying asleep. I was so hopeful... it didn’t work at all. That was my second and definitely biggest disappointment. The last disappointment being the belt size. My son is 14 lbs and 26 inches long, the belt is too large to Velcro together. I ended up clipping it with a hair clip to secure it on him. Also, the crinkle ears are fun but if it put my son to sleep, the crinkle noise would wake him up. We tried it upside down too but it still made noise if he moved his legs (which he does frequently). Pros: it is a really cute heat pack, easy to use, and I suspect as my son gets older he will like to find something cute and fun to play with when his tummy is upset. Also, it is nice to have a heat pack that wraps on (even with a hair clip) so it is hands free. These pros are the only reason I am keeping it.

When I opened the package I inspected the product and was very pleased with the quality of the gripebelt
I recieved my Aggie MD Gripebelt faster than I expected. I was excited to open and use the belt in the evening since my daughter had been keeping me up the last few nights with fussiness from colic. When I opened the package I inspected the product and was very pleased with the quality of the gripebelt. The blue monster was extremely cute and loved the squeaker part and the ring area to attach more rings or toys to keep my daughter entertained. Once the early morning came so did her colic so I microwaved the internal gel pack, inserted it in the gripbelt, then wrapped it around her tummy over her onesie. The warm sensation of the belt on her tummy immediately calmed her. She was happily distracted by the squeaking toy attached to the monster's arm as I squeezed it. She fell asleep in about 5 minutes or so after wrapping her. I was finally able to lay her down without her waking up shortly after crying to be picked up. I would like to emphasize to not over heat the pack. My sister accidentally put it longer than the directed time and it popped open. I tried to find replacement heating/cooling packs specifically for it online but couldn't. I contacted Aggie MD and she responded within a few hours telling me that she could accommodate my request for an extra heating/cooling pack. I was happily relieved because I didn't know if I'd be able to find one and thought I may have to buy another monster. Overall I am extremely impressed with the Aggie MD Gripebelt. It helped my daughter and I get some well needed sleep. It definitely made handling my daughter's colic so much easier.

One more thing you can try for your screamy, colicky baby is always helpful
Our one month old was extremely colicky the first few weeks we had him home, possibly due to an undiagnosed milk intolerance. Since then he's been getting better, but does still scream at times. I wasn't sure if this thing would make a difference, but he had a particularly epic fit yesterday afternoon and we tried the gripebelt. He stopped crying almost instantly. I'm not sure if this was because of the heated insert, the snug fitting belt, or just because he decided he was done screaming (who knows with infants, right?), but we plan to keep it to try out in the future. It's bigger than I expected, and almost covered our whole newborn, but for a baby who is slightly older I bet it would be perfect.
