Why did you pick this product vs others?: I am an off-roader and needed a tape to mount my numerous gadgets in the cockpit of my truck. I really needed an adhesive that works in the southern climate inside my vehicle. 3M is always the winner when it comes to reliability and quality. After researching the best heat type adhesives, this brand and type were always top of the list. Ease of removal: The point of purchasing this adhesive is so that it bonded well and was NOT easy to remove. This has succeeded on that front in our recent temperatures in the south. The surface is painted with a clear coat where I mounted the tape, making this easy to remove residue with little effort and no damage. Heat resistance: PERFECT! Most adhesives become super soft and saggy in high heats then any item mounted will fall off. This adhesive was exactly what I needed to beat the southern heat. Works well: Easy to use and will remain a staple in my vehicle for all mounting purposes. It is thin enough to not add depth to any mounted item. Stickiness: The stickiest! I have gone thru 4 other mounting strips in my vehicle and this one is by far the best I have used. Adhesion: I am not sure what other surfaces this could be used on, but for my purposes this was the perfect adhesion. When you first pull it from roll, it does not appear to have a lit of stick, but this has out performed any other tape I have used. Size: This is perfect size for small or large items, since it is tape, you can cut it down for small items or use a few strips for larger items, but your adhesion improves over time - always wait a little longer for bonding to set before mounting an item to the tape.

I discovered this in a pack of gutter screen covers. I couldn’t believe the bond strength. I immediately bought this roll and use it for anything I need permanently adhered. It’s crazy stuff. Hasn’t failed yet.

I personally used some strips of this to hold up my Ring doorbell as I am not allowed to place holes in my front door at my apartment complex. It has held up for the past 6 months without peeling off at all. It isn’t that thick at all which is a plus. Still have so many feet left for any future projects. The best in the business no complaints!

I've got a GMC Acadia and one day I noticed something hanging off the roof. It was a molding strip on the roof that ran form the windshield all the way back to the rear hatch. These moldings are kind of pricey, so I went looking for how to stick it down to the roof. The 3M Double Sided Heavy Duty Mounting Tape kept coming back as what the pros use. Did the job with no complaints.

I bought this double sided tape to fix a Eufy alarm sensor/s to window/door frames. Seems to hold well and it is similar to the original tape they came with until it lost it’s adhesiveness when I moved it.. I had then used 3M picture hanging strips which were too bulky. This tape is light and narrow and very sticky. Just the job. I hope retains that for further use down the road. Seems to be good value for the amount. Very easy to cut off the required amount and just stick.
