Got these to transfer my sand from the free sandbags the county gave out after this hurricane season passed. I like them alot. Sturdier, and the to- forms a nice handle for picking them up/carrying them

As my son used to say, Easy Peezy. This can be filled with as much or as little sand as you desire in the bag. You fold over the top of the bag which has plastic snap clasp which secures the sand inside. No ties that get knotted, or tangled. Being elongated they make a perfect barrier against flooding. They fit easily together and cover a larger distance than the square bags. Also the quantity in the pack is large enough to actually make a reasonable sized barrier for minor flooding issues.

These are good bags IF you take the time to flip them inside out and sew a better seam. I folded the excess fabric back over itself and sewed a 2nd seam over the factory one. I tried to do a continuous seam from the bottom far corner and up to the top. Due to flipping the bag inside out, You can't get all the way up to the top of that seam but knowing the bag folds down over that section... it shouldn't be a problem. My last 2 images show the black stitching showing through with very light tugging (far less than what 50lbs of sand will do) from the factory seams. It's very wide apart and I'm not sure of the quality thread that was used. These feel like the same canvas that Harbor Freight uses for their canvas tarps. Given that I didn't have to filly make these from scratch... they get a solid 3 stars. I might bump it up to 4 later after the winter and I see how well they hold up. I doubled the seam on 4 bags of the 10pk I ordered. Going to load some sand bags into the back of the truck and see how it goes.

I haven't had a chance to use these yet because there hasn't been any rain but my city floods often so I thought it practical to have on had. Looking them over though, they are very thick and sturdy. They are easy to close and the closures are secure. I'll be sure to update if and when we need to use them.

If you live in flood-prone areas, these are good to have around. You supply the sand. Study, with built in carry handles. Very reasonable price, in my opinion.
