4 Inch Goddess Saraswati Wood Carved Statue in Exotic Hard Woods - Multi Layered Hand Made Wooden Goddess of Knowledge Idol for Car Dashboard, Home, Office, and Travel

Before you buy this little gem, please be sure you understand how small it is. Even though it clearly says 4", it was still smaller than I envisioned, because the 4" is the very tip of her headpiece and not the overall size of it. I attached photos of it with a standard cigarette lighter for reference, hopefully that will help. I also added a photo of it on my alter but be aware that the books she's sitting on are miniature "pocket size" books which are only 4.5" tall, so there's another reference for size.Personally, I absolutely love this piece. I looked at tons of Saraswati statues. Many were cheap, poorly painted plastic, some were overpriced resin, and others were elaborate and expensive. I opened this one in a tab early on in my browsing and kept finding myself returning to it. My only hesitation was the small size, but I ultimately chose it because it just gave me such positive vibes. I like that it's made of wood, I like the subtle colors, and it also has the specific iconography I was looking for (veena instrument, mala and text in hands, along with swans and lotus). It's just a lovely, down-to-earth piece.I am so glad I chose this one. It came safely packaged and is even prettier in person. The details are intricate, and it has a 3D effect which gives the illusion of her head moving if you tilt it from side to side. It has felt on the bottom, so it won't scratch your surfaces. I would describe this more as a plaque mounted on a stand than a statue per se, but that's fine with me.I love that this piece is more on the rustic, natural side and I feel good energy when I hold it and look at it. Also, I'm not sure what hardwoods were used in making it, possibly rosewood, but it's subtly aromatic which is lovely. This is a special piece that I'm happy to display on my alter.

Recently bought Saraswati idol and very happy with purchase . Nice and detailed art work.

I always hesitate to purchase anything that doesn’t have any reviews, but hey someone has to be the first. I wanted a figure of the Goddess Saraswati , but I really dislike the cheap look of most of the glass or ceramic ones. And the beautiful marble ones are very expensive. This one looked very unique without breaking the bank. The description clearly states that it’s 4 inches high, so I don’t know why I was expecting larger. I included the pictures in my hand so that you know the relative size. It really is beautiful and seems like good craftsmanship. It sits perfectly on my desk clock, where I do my studies and meditation (among other things, she’s the Goddess of knowledge).
