Loma Linda - CHIK’N - BROTH Plant Based Chicken (5 oz) (Pack of 3) Vegan

Loma Linda and Worthington products are very familiar to me since I had my first health food store in 1976. Their products have always been a tasty substitute for animal sources of meat, and the quality has always been top notch. This is no exception. I thought I would use it for chicken salad sandwiches, but it's more suited to soups and stews or casseroles that require shredded chicken. There is also a gravy-free version which I haven't tried and may be better suited to chicken salad. So I made a chicken and dumpling soup and it was pretty good. I may have over-cooked it on simmer as my dumplings fell apart. But it was a nice bowl of soup, and I will probably buy it again, although it's twice the price as TUNO (Shredded tuna flavor).

Walmart used to carry the brands “tuno” variant of this product. I think they are identical but in any case every can of these will be a gelatinous mess - literally like gelatin. Sometimes they have water like they are supposed to, but almost every time, something in them absorbs the water and creates a cat food-like consistency.

I have used the Chik'n - Broth a couple times in different dishes and It's very tasty. I'll purchase again!

The product is almost tasteless, I combine it with with either a can of chicken or tuna and it works fine. I like it because it is meatless and it stretches the sandwich spread and I'm eating less meat but I was disappointed and expected better from Loma Linda products, won't buy product again.

I LOVE the Frichik, so I thought I would love this. I don’t care for it. It was watery and mushy in my opinion.

Tastes like cat food. Too expensive for how bad it tastes. Zero stars.

I don’t know what’s wrong with people. If it’s one thing or another, there’s always negativity surrounding certain things. And this purchase has caused nothing but trouble for the stupidest reasons! I’m okay with paying more, it helps the company!! I like the taste, too! So why does everyone refuse to eat it or tell me it sucks!!?! I’m just fine eating this stuff straight out of the cans…….
