This knife block is fantastic. It holds my knives of all sizes securely in place, so I never have to worry about them slipping or sliding out of place. This knife holder works exactly as expected. Got rid of the ugly wooden block that was hard to clean since it sits next to the stove top. This looks much nicer, takes up less space, holds all the knives and is easy to clean.

We all know that dust and crumbs accumulate in kitchen drawers. So my concern with this knife storage canister block is that the top grate doesn’t pop off so I can clean down inside the canister itself overtime. The thought process for us using this is we are currently building a custom kitchen cabinet and this knife block will sit in the drawer, which I can then open and pull my knives out. So having some thing that is removable, so Cleaning can occur over time would be ideal. This is a one solid piece. There is a small hole in the bottom of the knife block to allow water to drip through I guess. The plastic itself is very sturdy and strong and the top grate is a hard plastic. It is not a soft silicone. So the knives can slide in and out, without worry of damaging the open slots. At the current price of $17.99 you were getting exactly as described. However, I would not buy this again due to the lack of accessibility for cleaning inside the canister.

This item is easily scratched and not stable to use in a motorhome. I bought it and just put it in our MH. Have to store in a cupboard while on the road and it rubbed against something also stored and got scratched. No longer attractive. I missed the return date due to camping and MH which really doesn't start in Alaska until mid to late May. Disappointedd!

I was a bit skeptical at first as this is a fairly light weight knife block (mostly plastic). However, it works well. The slots hold my knifes firmly and the block is stable, regardless of how many knifes are in or out.I found that a single slot can hold two knifes (eg., a chefs knife and a bread knife work well in a single slot).Likewise, to use side by side slots simply turn the handle the other way, so some sit on one side and other side on the other side.It also has a slot for kitchen shears - which works well.

Really well built product for the price and held my loose knives well. Had several different hole sizes to ensure that they all fit and was easy to take them in and out.

Perfect fit

If you are going to get this knife holder make sure of a couple of things. You only have 3 or 4 knives, they have thin blades, and they are ALL small and light-weight. I got this for my kitchen knife set and found that it only holds thinner knives and only holds a few knives at a time. It turned out to be completely useless for me. It was easy to clean but that is about it.
