This was a gift for my 10 year old daughter. She loves it and it works well. My only complaint was it took us a bit to figure out how to put it together. I though the directions would have been a little clearer.

We love Thames and Kosmos products. This one was no exception! Lots of fun using the kit to write secret messages. A mix of science and mystery!

While this is a fun concept and definitely made me relive some of my childhood memories. The pen requires assembly because the ink cartridge needs to be installed and to do so screws need to be removed but the hardware and tools were not included. Even though it comes in a large tin can, and there’s a lot of space to provide tools in it this does not come with any tools. It also requires a AAA battery which was not included with my pen. While it is neat to call this a spy pen the other person really needs to have this pen as well because you can only see the writing under the special light that is included on the pen.

This toy is so nostalgic for me. I love that it's a whole kit in aTin box. It's so easy to use. I originally got it for cyphers in D&D but this proven to be equally as fun to write secret messages to my son. He absolutely loves this toy now too. It comes with everything you need from write the messages and also to be able to see them after you've written it. This would be a great gift for kids and adults alike. I think many adults would feel nostalgic for this. It well made and has gotten tons of uses in my house eso far with no signs of wear and tear.

What a fun gift for my kids, they definitely had fun with it. It does need some assembly, and it isn't anything super fancy, pretty much just a cheap marker and light, but it works as it should and perfect for a kids toy.

I got this as something fun for my kids (8, 10). They both enjoyed it. The instructions for getting it put together were a little hard to follow, but I managed to get it together. You have to detach all the pieces, the stamp, the cap, the part where the battery goes, before you can unscrew to put the invisible ink marker in. You also have to unscrew more to add the battery. Once it is put bag together you don't have to take apart again. It is kinda cool that it has a stamp you can use. My daughter also loved that you can push the button to turn on the light and it stays on; you don't have to continually hold it down.

My daughter was so excited when I surprised her with this, she immediately started writing on everything in sight. Walls, cabinets, doors, you name it. Good thing I can't see it until you put the light on it. Light could be a bit brighter and not sure where to get another marker for it when it runs dry, but for the mean time, my daughter is having fun with it. I do like how it does not make a mess and can be easily concealed. Comes with instructions and requires 1 AAA battery for light operation. One con to this would be the stamper. The stamper does not work as intended and is not very clear when used. Have some fun with your child and grab this...
