we put unions between each panel to make it easy to pull one out if it was damaged or ...
Installed 6 of these panels and the pool has been close to 90 since. I did receive a damaged panel, but their customer service had a replacement to me within 3 days, so still a five star experience. We didn't use the provided connectors, we put unions between each panel to make it easy to pull one out if it was damaged or started leaking.

So far so great!
I did a lot of research and chose the SunQuest. I installed 8 panels by myself on the roof. The hardest part was unrolling them, even in full sun at around 80 degrees. Instructions were spot on and the kits were complete. Install with plumbing to the roof edge took me about 5 hours. The rest of the plumbing took about 3 hours total. I ran it manually for about a week before installing the Pentair controller. I connected the controller to the VS pump, installed the valve controller and set speeds and now it is completely automatic. I don't have to touch it! I'm also getting about an extra degree of pool temp per day because I was turning it off way too early.

SunQuest won’t replace the panel with a leak. in it.
I don’t like that there’s a pin hole leak in one of the solar panels and SunQuest won’t replace it. The leak has been there from the beginning.Since it’s already installed, I had no choice but to try to fix the pin hole. We had to fix it with epoxy and a clamp.SunQuest wants us to now remove the epoxy to prove there’s a leak underneath.Zero stars for customer service.

Overall worth it
I bought 6 panels of 2X12 and put them on the shed roof near the pool, which is in-ground and 20x40. It took a while to figure out the best way to install it, for it came with many optional parts depending on the setup. However once I figured it out, was pretty easy and the water temperature definitely started going up after just a couple days. I built a basic 2x4 wood frame for it to sit on, instead of sitting directly on the roof shingles. One complaint is their website which is not helpful at all and is a very generic website. The owners manual says you can register the product on the website but that proved to not be true. I had to fill out the paper form and mail it in. Oh, also the first time I turned it on, the one panel got disconnected after 5 minutes of use. I reconnected it with the provided clamps, turned it back on. 5 minutes later it happened again. I double checked everything to make sure I didnt screw something up, then turned it back on. 5 minutes later, popped off! Long story short, the PSI on my pump-filter was on 30, I made some adjustments and got it down to 20, and it then stopped disconnecting. The owners manual says it can handle up to 50 PSI but in my experience, not true.

Great service after the sale
First the bad news. The product arrived with some damage. I contacted the seller, they responded within minutes, and send a new panel to replace the damaged one. Absolutely no hassle. Stuff happens. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. I followed them, got the system running, and the next morning my pump wouldn't prime. I primed it manually, turned off the water to the panels, and it started. I contacted the company for assistance after trying a few trouble shooting options online. The tech support rep worked diligently with me, even responding on weekends and a holiday, to step by step track down the problem, which turned out to be a very small leak in a valve that was not part of the solar system. I felt that the level of knowledge and helpfulness was in the top tier of service I have ever received. The panels are working as intended! I would recommend this company highly!

Good idea but questionable quality and tough intallation
These panels do a decent job for heating the pool in Florida where the sun is strong all day long. However the installation was not trivial and rather costly. This was partly due to the size larger than the specs. My contractor measured the width of the panel installed to be 22" not 20". Additional complication was that we could only squeeze in three, the the odd number of panels. With the odd number he needed to install and extra return pipe, to run back to the side where the intake pipe was. This was not included in the kit, he had to buy it separately at Home Depot and they only had white pipes, not black like this kit. Also the panel the quality is questionable. I purchased 3 panels and one of them started leaking within days. The manufacturer pays for the replacement but not the additional labor to get someone back on the roof and swap the good panel for the bad one. They also require pictures of the leak and the number of the part before the replacement is authorized. That means having to pay someone to go on the roof to take the requested picture of the part number.

These things are great! Customer service was perfect
Wow! These things are great! Customer service was perfect. Pool picked up 15 degrees in about 8 days. I'm in Cincinnati with a moderately shaded yard. The pool gets direct sunlight for about 6 hours a day. The pool hit 90 degrees the monday following mother's day. We're swimming about 10 days ahead of my nonheated acquaintances!

SolarQuest panels hold up well
I bought these panels as replacements for ones installed in 2010. They originals held up well in spite of being placed over asphalt shingles on our porch roof. During Maine winters snow/ice pick up sand which eventually makes pinholes in the channels. No - Flex Seal will not work. Nor, the after-market plugs. Eleven years is more than I expected. Installation is also a straight forward job.

Arrived Quickly, Panels Good Quality, Vendor Responsive
The order arrived faster than expected, four largish boxes with two panels rolled up in each box, as well as the plumbing bits and pieces. The GoodPanels seem to be high quality, no tendency to buckle, collapseor kink while moving them around to do the installation.Vendor responded to a question quickly (Late Friday question, Monday answer, Wednesday missing part delivered)Heat output? They are black, they get hot in the sun, how bad can it be?The Bad - Nothing so far.A warning - the instructions mention this - the panels need some time in the sun to roll out flat. After two days waiting, nothing much happened so I assisted the process by rolling them out and holding flat with a bag of mulch on each end....They are on the roof now in the sun and I'm still working to get them to lay flat and neat. This is not bad, just something to consider at installation. Really it means the panels have a good wall thickness and are not flimsy.

Review up date
I originally gave a 4 star on my first 4 panels, but when we ordered another 4 ( Square area of the solar panels should be pretty close to the square area of your pool active) , I ordered the wrong kit. An email was sent, and they Through in the missing things that I would’ve needed at no charge. They responded within 24 hours of my email zero hassle, that’s five star service.
