Not what I expected

The holes for the wooden slab needed to be a bit wider not a big deal worth the money comes with a sharp handy knife

This is a simple, but complete "starter kit" to hold, cut, and cover your bone-in ham.Assembly was easy and overall it does do the job. On the other hand, you get what you pay for. The stand is made out of soft wood, the flexible cutting knife is a really cheap one (but works), and it is difficult to put the ham cover over the top screw that secures the ham (a simple slit in the round hole would have the job. So, you can buy all these items in a higher quality, but for a much larger price. Overall, I am happy with my purchase of this set for our first Serrano ham. My biggest mistake was NOT to watch the "how to cut a Serrano ham" video, before I started cutting it.

Horrible finish and value for money. Definitely not worth $97 bucks. Worst of all was that no returns were accepted! Amazon had to intercede.What was disappointing:- terrible knife quality and finish, with even notable quality control mistakes in handle and rust on blade- wood base is extremely light and not padded on the bottom, horrible side finishes almost like not filed. Will guarantee to scratch any surface you put it on- knife sharpening tool is flimsy and cheaply finished as well- ham cover is cheap and of that same material as cheap closet suit coversThings that are OK:- tongs are well done and good quality, no rust- metal assemblies of the stand are good and heavy, good screws too

Put a 12 lb. Smoked ham in this for the holidays. It held it securely, even with rough handling by lots of guests hacking away LOL!Tip: I put 4 silicone button feet on bottom to keep from sliding around. Smooth wooden base will move even on a towelWorks great, looks good

Great item, easy to assemble and knife works well. The storage blanket fits the 30 Lb ham perfectly. Great Holiday gift ,makes the ham portable!!!

Many bargain Serrano Hams will come with a few of the parts that are included in this kit like a stand and knife, making this kit duplicitous, but expensive, and Luxurious Jamons will not. This kit come with some extras like a cover for your ham, and a separate dishtowel, and a steel to refresh your knife.Likely if Serrano or Iberico jamons are going to be a regular part of your life, you'll want to upgrade most all of these parts. But as an entry point, this is complete.
