Delicious smooth coffee! Switched to Stumptown from Folgers after reading about the coffee bean industry and all the nasties they use when growing the beans and the difference is so real. I love these coffee beans. So smooth and there’s none of that bitter bite you taste when you make a strong cup of brew. I use a percolator without an additional filter besides the weak strainer that percolators come with. Theres no paper filter needed. Thanks Stumptown for your amazing coffee! First this coffee that arrived today is best consumed by the middle of next month and was roasted last October, but if freshness is paramount, you probably aren't buying coffee from Amazon anyways. The supposed hints of chocolate and vanilla are non existent and it is mildly bitter. I didn't like it initially, but it is starting to grow on me. The beans are not oily so it works well in my Jura auto-feed brewer. I am a huge fan of dark roast but this tastes clean and its a nice change of pace.

Coffee tastes good, expire date was 12/03.However delivery packaging was not satisfying. Coffee sealing (tape-like) was a bit broken and paper bag was worn out. When it is food , delivery packaging can be different I hope.

The Negative Reviews Were On Point- the beans were not fresh, hardly any notable coffee flavors, it does take more beans to make a cup (I thought it was just me), and it is overpriced considering the end product. I guess I should have read the reviews before buying it. Noticed the beans on the left are more glossy (meaning the oils haven't been stripped) than the ones on the right (Stumptown, which I received a little more than a week ago and only opened a couple of days ago).My experience:- I first tried it with my espresso machine. The grind was dry and powdery. The crema was lacking and it looked a little watery. The taste was acidic, not nutty or roasted. The taste was akin to stale beans or decaf, slight sour taste. The notes were definitely not of vanilla or cocoa powder (as the label advertised).- I admit I'm no barista, so I gave it another go. This time with a pour over, which IMHO I'm better at. As another reviewer noted, it did take a little more beans to make a comparable cup. But the end results were still the same, still the same acidic/sour taste of stale beans, no notes of vanilla or cocoa powder.I threw away the package so I don't know when the roasted and good by dates were.FWIW, I didn't like their bottled cold brews (same acidic/sour taste) and was willing to try them out bc heck we're talking whole roasted organic beans and at a relatively attractive price.. But no. I'll stick with my Lavazza (the beans on the left in pic).

Been buying Stumptown founders blend for a couple of years. Have loved it until I opened the most recent bag. Beans were noticeably different-looking - smaller, different in color - and the aroma was different than it always has been. Went ahead and ground some - the grinding even sounded different somehow. Made my coffee - completely different flavor than it always has been. Not enjoyable and missing all the flavor that is my reason for buying this particular blend. Will be heading to the grocery store to see if what they have there is the good ole beans I love. In the meantime, definitely not loving my morning coffee anymore. 🥺

One of my favorite beans to get!

Product has flavor profile as described with no burnt or bitter tastes. Best coffee I've ever had and I have had hundreds of different coffees in my life. Stumptown is the way to go. Jack Osbourne was definitely right when he said "Stumptown does coffee right". Won't buy any other brands.
