Outside Garden Hose Union Bib Tap Set with Though the Wall Copper Pipe Kit

Excellent quality item with a good solid brass tap and a decent length of copper tube. Connecting into the water main was a doddle with all the fittings provided and an flexible pipe to aid fitting. The hardest part was drilling through the wall but once that was done the rest took less than 30 minutes. You don't need to be a DIY wiz to fit this even I managed it and I'm DIY dyslexic. You will need extra tools though, a drill with a long bit, I used a 16x400mm masonry bit and a hacksaw or pipe cutter to break into an existing water pipe.

Great piece of kit 🖒 everything you need just a little patience, so glad the copper pipe was longer than 300mm as my wall cavity was just that but didn't find that out until drilling through, well worth the money and would definitely recommend. Thanks

The tap is good, the extended and cowled pipe to go through the wall is good. I even like the idea of the flexible hose to make access from the feed to the pipe. What killed this for me was what appeared to be a non-return valve in the compression tee fitting. Yes, it functioned well as a non-return valve. Unfortunately it worked just as well as a no-flow valve. Nothing I did would make water flow through it at more than a trickle.I started to doubt my abilities in installing it, but there is only really one way it can go in and even if it goes in upside down, I didn’t think it wouls matter. I tried it anyway, and yes, another trickle.I decided to be stupid and took the hose off, turned the water back on with the tee piece open and expected Old Faithful to issue forth across the inside of my cupboard.No, what I got was a trickle. Isolation valve open - trickle. The isolation lever worked when I turned it and the trickle stopped.In desperation, I went out and bought a ‘standard’ 15mm tee piece and put that in. Guess what...I got Old Faithful erupting across my kitchen (although I had planned ahead and caught it with a bucket).In short, this was a pile of doodoos that I wouldn’t recommend to anyone. Yes, the tap and through pipe are good; that’s the only reason I gave this one star. Avoid it.

Perfect item, did exactly what I wanted and fitted easily

Arrived quickly as per usual. Plumbed it in ok, didn't need to use the included valve. After a while, I checked the tap for leaks and to my surprise found water dripping through the screw holes of the mounting plate. Seems the soldering between the pipe and tap is not 100%.
