Another banger
I love Nikita Gill's work—short stories, poetry, essays—everything she touches is gorgeous, golden, and glowing. This was no fall off that path of her glory. I love this book and its back page QR audio and I cannot wait to buy it for my nieces, nephews, and best friend's kids.

Beautiful Fables
10 colorful stories adapted from the Panchatantra, an ancient collection of Sanskrit fables. This book is beautiful inside and out, with a foiled cover and dust jacket, and vibrant illustrations. These animals of India include familiar faces like elephants and mice, and others like the jackal who are featured less commonly in western stories. The print book also includes a link to access the audiobook free online! Each of the stories has its own lesson, such as the importance of family bonds and not judging others based on appearances. The critical reader may note a lack of rhythm to the story structure, in that the morals might seem to come without being fully set up from the beginning of the story. But this doesn’t detract from colorful characters or themes.Overall, these short stories are classic tales that will have you coming back again and again.(Thanks to the author and publisher for the opportunity to review in partnership with YABC.)

Beautiful to read!
If it isn’t the beautiful writing getting this book 5 stars, it’s the gorgeous illustrations. This book was such a joy to wade through. The author states she’s telling tales told to her by her grandmother and her writing makes it feel like she’s the grandmother telling the stories before bed to enchant the young ones and send them to sleep.

Gorgeous!
Lovely animal stories by the amazing Nikita Gill perfect for reading aloud at bedtime or for older kids to read on their own. Reminds me of D’Aulaires’ Book of Animals! So gorgeous to hold too--it even has a ribbon bookmark attached.

Lovely
This book has so much to love. I loved the art. I loved the stories, which all had strong morals. One even brought tears to my eyes. I even loved the introduction—such a tender tribute to the reader.A fantastic, animal-centric read that explores some of India's classic fables.

Very interesting book
I read this book for my little daughter and these stories are really good for little children. In the end of each story is a moral that teaches kids how to be good people!!!
