20kg Robin and Wild Bird Food Mix with Sunflower Hearts Suet Pellets & Mealworms

I was really looking forward to this seed mix as it described all the key components my birds love - sunflower hearts, suet pellets and meal worms. However, the aforementioned are in the minority and I can scarcely detect the meal worm or suet pellets. I can't identify everything in the mix, there are a lot of tiny seeds (millet?) and hard little chips of stuff the birds just won't eat. My experience was that the majority of the food was thrown onto the ground – initially I just thought, “oh well, the birds that can’t get to the feeders (collar doves, pigeons, the dreaded magpies/jays/jackdaws) will clear that lot up” but even they weren’t tempted so I was left with a lot of waste and sweeping up. There was also something in there that germinated quite prolifically so in addition to the scattered food mess I am also now having to deal with that.The upshot of all this is that my feeders have gone from being inundated with great tits, blue tits, sparrows, nut hatch, goldfinch, long-tailed tits to hardly any birds at all. The feeder I have put this seed mix in now remains untouched as if they have cherry picked the bits they like and can reach and then left the rest. I can't put it down to anything other than the fact they don't care for this seed mix something I have since noted that other reviewers have also alluded to. All in all buying this bag of seed mix has been nothing but an absolute nuisance and a very disappointing waste of money.I don’t like giving bad reviews and rarely do but I honestly cannot say anything positive about this product. If anyone can recommend another brand that the birds I've mentioned like, I'd very much like to know what it is!

The seed I received is NOT like advertised. the mix I have received is top heavy with Millet seed which is not being eaten by the birds I feed. I have seived out the millet from the rest and found the mix to bee 50% millet as can be seen from my pictures. Is it possible to return this mix for one without millet or just a small amount of millet.

If you are buying this for it's mealworm content you will be disappointed, there are very few in the mix and considering it is a little more expensive than other on sale I feel this needs to be addressed.The rest of the seed is good quality and the birds like it.

Purchased as a fill-in for my usual order (not available), not dissapointed though, little waste and the sparrows empty the feeders quickly, just a little more expensive than my usual but will definitely have this as a stand-by if the usual mix becomes unavailable again.

I've been feeding my wild birds this product for years, they have been happy to devour it. Yet, for some reason they are not feeding off this latest batch, which makes me suspect that there is something amiss with it. Will order a new lot and see if there is any improvement in the birds' appetite.

Great product and encouraging loads of birds, good value too, only downside is as the birds/wind/rain scatter them I fear some weedy things are appearing in the Garden and that isn't going to make the Gardener very pleased!

Don't know why but the birds don't seem as keen on this mix even though it's varied and looks reasonable quality
