Retap 0.3 Glass Water Bottle, Red, Small

Overnight I can sometimes get a very dry mouth and throat, another of the joys of getting older! I started keeping small bottles of spring water bought from the supermarket on my bedside table but did not like sucking on a nipple (at least, that is, a plastic one!) and really didn't like the plastic taste. So decided I could do better and bought this. It looks cool and delivers water that tastes of water and not of plastic; I use filtered tap water or bottled. It is well over priced for what it is but such is the surcharge we have become used to on 'designer' items. There seems to be a knack (as yet undiscovered) to removing the soft push on cap that sometimes I get right and other times struggle with for a moment or two. It is very well and attractively packaged. I bought the 300ml capacity as I only need, on average, one gulp per night. The bottle does not take up much room at all amongst the other stuff on the bedside table. It is claimed to be dishwasher safe. Edit: After using for a few weeks I noticed an odd unpleasant taste to the water, Evian, on closer examination I found the inside of the bottle was coated with an almost invisible oily substance which was very hard to remove I tried hot dishwasher cycles to no avail and then filled the bottle with domestic bleach and left it for a few hours - no good! Scalding water - no good. As a last resort I got my electric toothbrush and meticulously scrubbed the internal walls and base - success, the water tastes good again. I suspect this was a manufacturing residue but why it was not immediately obvious I simply don't know.

I was a little skeptical about this bottle when I first starting researching it. I wondered if it would be big enough, would it leak, how durable was it etc..? Well, lets just say that I haven't been disappointed, this bottle has surpassed my expectations and I love it! I used to carry around a plastic bottle and just keep refilling it from the tap. I became a little worried after reading reports about chemicals leaking from plastics which led me to look for a glass bottle to use instead. It fits neatly into my bag and the rubber top is great, you can hear it click into place ensuring a tight seal around the top. Many times it has fallen over within my bag and nothing has leaked. Obviously, as it's glass I don't throw it around in the same way I did a plastic one but this glass one has taken a bit of a battering from stuff knocking against it in my bag so it shows how durable it is. I chose one with a bright pink lid and people have really noticed it when they've walked past my desk.

Looks beautiful, let's see if it will last as well.The glass is maybe 2 mm thick and the lid feels like one of those silicon baking tins.The colour was more or less the same as in the photo, which is not always the case with Amazon sellers.

I've been looking for a small stylish reusable water bottle to fit in my handbag and really liked the look of this one. Although it looks stylish and does fit nicely into my handbag, it feels like regular glass so it's smooth and because of this, it feels like it could easily slip out of your hand and break. Also it's lid design is different as it doesn't have a screw top lid (which is good so no germs), but has a lid that you push down on to the bottle. I didn't think this lid would prevent water escaping but this bottle doesn't leak which is great. My only issue is that when you need to take the lid off, you have to really pull it directly off the bottle and if you have filled it with water to the top of the bottle, the force of pulling the lid off means that water jolts out. Maybe I need to get used to taking the lid off but so far I've always had water spill out.

first of the bottle is beautiful and light but I've had it for a month or two and the rubber around it has gone loose and started leaking so for what I payed its not worth it and I bought another one that hit on the table and shattered, it didn't fall with much force but still broke. so disappointed because it is a beautiful bottle and I've gad problems in the past when it was delivered it was broken which was so inconvenient.

Excellent bottle, perfectly formed

I have been using this bottle for 15 months now and it is still in good condition with a tight seal. I use it by my bedside and in my handbag. Once a week I put it in the dishwasher to freshen it up. An excellent alternative to plastic.

Love this water bottle! First water bottle I have consistently used for over a year. Easy to clean. Nice smooth glass. Feels like you are drinking out of a glass. Love the size. Great to carry in my purse. I like that it’s a healthy alternative to plastic and I find the steel bottles too bulky and heavy. Doesn’t keep liquids cold but I don’t mind having drinks at room temperature.

War mir zuerst nicht sicher, ob dieser kleine Silikondeckel wirklich dicht hält, aber alles super. Benutze die Flasche regelmäßig und habe nichts auszusetzen.

He comprado de todos los tamaños y estoy encantado con todas ellas, eso si, cada una para su uso.-0,8L la uso para comer, da para cuatro vasos de agua largos, lo justo para las comidas sustitullendo la tipica jarra.-0,5L mi compañwera de trabajo. como da para dos vasos largo de agua, puedo beber traguitos continuamente y es comoda de coger y portar sin complicaciones por su volumen y peso respecto a las mas grandes y el incordio de tener que rellenarla cada poco como las pequeñas--0,3L Que decir de esta cantidad, el estandar de los refrescos (algo menos). Es mi compañera de cenas o comidas en sofa. Manejable gracias a su peso y volumen.Todas son muy faciles de agarrar y limpiar, es mas, yo de vez en cuando las lleno de vinagre, la dejo 24h y aclaro, quedan como nuevas, nunca he tenido que meter cepillo dentro incluso cuando metia otras bebidas como te (que pueden dejar residuos pegados). Son mas resistentes de lo que parecen, yo solo he roto una y fue con un golpe fortuito contra el grifo, pero como con el ticket de compra, te la descambian en su pagina oficial, en dos meses tenia otra en casa nueva y gratis. Ojo, las mas viejas son mas gruesas que las nuevas, aunque no se si eso afectara a su resistencia final. Se lavan en lavavajillas y el tapon, una vez te acostumbras, te quitas el miedo a las fugas (la silicona al principio no te da confianza.Pegas: Cuesta acostumbrarse al tapon de silicona, al principio cuesta abrirlo, si la huimedeces sera mas facil y con el uso, la silicona se adaptara mejor no quedando tan sellada a la boquilla, como truco, abrela como si de una con rosca se tratara. No llenes hasta el borde la botella, dejatres cuatro dedos, si no, el tapon no podra hacer el vacio y no cerrará del todo.
