I've wanted to get into pottery for some time now after remembering pottery classes in school when we used to make vases and ashtrays! Good build quality and performs well. The range of speeds is useful according to requirement / skill. The included tools are good including the drip tray which is a necessary thing! The motor is strong enough for what this is designed to do. It designed for creating small pottery projects with a clay weight of 200g or less. We've made a few bowls already and fortunately clay is cheap as chips!

On opening the box the first disappointment was that there were no instructions. Nothing. Which led me to think this was a returned item.Plugged it in and the wheel head spins very well & really quietly. Checked for pressure on the head and with just a small amount the wheel slowed. Increasing the speed helped but after using just a small amount of clay (50g) the wheel stopped completely.Tried to throw a tiny amount with no luck. The wheel can not stand any weight.As the price was so cheap I thought I’d keep it as a banding wheel or to use for glazing, but even placing leather hard pieces on restricted the wheel turning.Pretty useless piece of machinery.

bought this for my daughter (6) . she uses soft air dry clay on it . as soon as you put any pressure on the clay it slows the motor. she's using the tools provided it's just a weak motor.Good for her to play with.

I gotvthis for my daughter who wants to take ip pottery. It very good for a beginner. It comes with full instructions and they are easy to follow too. Its a perfect size for her. I like how it comes with all tools that she needs. It's very easy to clean too.Perfect price for a beginner

The included tools are quite practical, particularly the drip tray, which is essential for keeping the workspace clean.One of the best aspects is that my kids and I enjoy using it together, making it a fun and engaging family activity. However, there are a few drawbacks. The power switch is inconveniently placed on the machine itself, making it difficult to turn off when my hands are covered in wet clay. Additionally, the front-positioned power port raises concerns about it getting wet during use.In terms of performance, the wheel spins at a good speed when empty and only slows slightly with clay added. However, if you overload it with clay and apply pressure to center it, it will slow significantly so be sure not to overload it and burn the motor out.Overall, despite a few design flaws, this pottery wheel is a solid choice for beginners and hobbyists focused on small projects. It's enjoyable to use, especially with kids, and performs well within its design limitations.

This simply doesn’t work. The motor is so weak that the wheel stalls with the lightest pressure on the clay. The rest of the system is well made and solid but overall it’s useless.
