It's a signal mirror; ADDENDUM
It's not very large but they warn you in the description dimensions and the instructions on the back are unintelligible. So I went to another source for instructions. Be sure to protect the reflective side from scratches as the mirror is plastic. Also, the sight picture through the apature is blurry making staying on target a challenge.The attached whistle is not very loud but rather a shrill high pitched sound.Since this is my first time using a signal mirror so my critique may be weak but from experimenting (a lot) with it so far, it performs as advertised.A major edit. I've just had opportunity to compare and contrast this product with another.The reflected beam is not good. It's like it "dissipates" rapidly, meaning it's almost not visible just across the yard, 85ft maybe. (My cell phone screen reflects a sharper/clearer beam and further). The aiming aperture isn't great either. To ensure you're on target you have to use the 2 finger aiming method. It took a few minutes playing with the other one before I realized I was using it wrong.To close, this product is better than nothing and even then, anything reflective will suffice.Thanks

Small but durable
Very thick plastic. Keep the plastic coating on the reflective side till you need it and put it in a small micro fiber bag.

Could save your life!
Nice size, light so it isn’t likely to be left behind. It would be nice if they supplied an envelope of soft material to keep it safe from scuff and scratches after the protective plastic has been removed. It’s a good idea to practice with it.

This is breakable garbage
Came with whistle broken off from mirror. Whistle unattached doesn’t work and I doubt that it would of worked while attached. Signal mirror doesn’t really work either.

Haven’t had to use this, but makes a great tool for survival situation. Hope I never get placed into one
