Works for the Late 2013 MBP
I'm running a Late 2013 MacBook Pro 15" on Catalina. The one with NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M 2 GB and Intel Iris Pro 1536 MB. Out of the box this didn't give me any resolutions that I didn't already have via HDMI. I had to download the app SwitchResX and create custom resolutions. Unscaled/native, it accepted 3840 x 2160 at 60Hz with no problem. Natively, it even accepted 4096 x 2160 up to 57Hz. It would accept 57Hz, but not 57.5Hz. Weird. Scaled, SwitchResX goes all the way up to an absurd 6720 x 3780 at 60Hz. The Late 2013 MBP is limited to 4K @ 30Hz on HDMI only. It will run 4k @ 60Hz natively over DisplayPort. You just have to have an active mini DisplayPort (1.2) adapter/cable to DisplayPort or HDMI 2.0 to make 4k @ 60Hz work. But I went ahead and got a step-up from that. I can only confirm that the Club 3D CAC-1180 Mini DisplayPort (1.4) to HDMI 2.0B HDR adapter version works, as that's what I got. I can't speak for the other versions. Now my external display is just as responsive as my MBP display. No lag at all. I had to go into my TV settings and change the HDMI signal format from standard format to enhanced format. "Display High-Quality HDMI signals. Select the enhanced option only if your device supports High-Quality HDMI formats such as: 4k 60p 4:2:0 10 bit, 4:4:4, 4:2:2." I also had to go into my screen aspect ratio settings and change the picture size from normal to Full 2 to get the full native 4096 x 2160 resolution. Settings for your TV or monitor will vary. Also, I have to occasionally change my picture mode from Game to Cinema and back to Game to remove the TV processing lag.

Bought two, one is working as expected. The other one is not DOA, but it worked as if the HDMI cable or port was 1.4 rather than 2.0, video was on and off. Will have to RMA that one. So if you got this adapter and you see the similar symptom, it might be the adapter's problem, not the cable or port.

4k UHD @60Hz, no doubt
I tested this mini-DP to HDMI adapter at my old Dell laptop (Intel HD520). The 4k UHD display runs well at 60Hz (not 30Hz).

It apparently supports HDR and SDR up to 30 bit, but it does not support full RGB.

Works well and as expected
Was having some issues and thought product went bad. It was actually a misbehaving Windows 10 driver, rolled back and fixed the issue.

Junk! Adapter drops multi channel audio after little use.
Tried 3 of these and they are junk. I will admit they give nice 4K video but are totally flaky when putting out multi channel audio. It works for a few days then poof back to 2 channel. I check port on receiver with XBOX ONE and it works fine. I ordered another one and it worked 1 day before flaking out again. Dont waste your time.

This is the only adapter so far I have found that can output 60FPS !! So it’s worth it for screens with that refresh rate

Does exactly what it says. I wouldn't bother with other adapters out there if you need 4k60fps and want the option of HDR.

I bought it some years back and I was having some HDR issues, after some e-mails with the manufacturer they started to blame my PC, and after some time they stopped answering me, I don't recommend them to anyone.
