Perfect fit and fixed the problem. I have a Mahindra tractor with the Mitsubishi engine. This solenoid has failed four time under warranty but this was the first time I had to buy one. This part at $50 is a great value, Mahindra wants close to $300 for it. I am going to buy a spare to keep in the shop. It is unfortunate that it fails so often but if I am going to keep the tractor I had better keep one on hand.

Good product. Also I had to replace Glow Plugs and a Lamp -Time/Controller, but my tractor is running good.

The plunger shaft is a little longer than OEM, so threads needed adjusted out a little further, but that's not a problem to adjust. That's the least of your worries when installing on a mahindra. Put some dielectric grease on the electrical connector before reconnecting. Not just with this, but anywhere electrical connectors are found. That was the problem with the OEM solenoid, was the plug was corroded beyond use.

Received quickly. Installed and solved my tractor's problem immediately. The tractor would start and run for about 15 minutes. It would die as if the key was turned off, which it essentially was. I had tested the old solenoid by providing 12v to each coil circuit individually. There is a black or blue common terminal and a red and a white circuit terminals. My red to black worked and energized the solenoid but the white to black did not. There should be 1 ohm of resistance between red and black and 1 ohm between white and black. I had 1 ohm on red/black but 12 ohms on white/black which also indicated a defective solenoid. Be sure to take a picture to remember how many turns of threads are exposed when the solenoid is installed correctly. It is easy to recalibrate but why have to bother? Also be sure to well clean the connector on the tractor that the solenoid tail plugs onto. Mine had green corrosion which is a known problem for this connector. I had to use open jaw pliers to squeeze the connector enough to get it to click. You should fill the connector with dielectric grease if you have any, I did not. Note that this tractor is AKA a Mahindra 2615 which is much easier to search for parts for.
