Bakers Couche - Professional Flax Linen Proofing Cloth 28

I am beginning to bake my own bread baguette so I thought this couche would be handy in this process. I am very happy with the material and how it holds my baguette dough shape until I am able to transfer the dough to the oven.

Although this product works, it is not easy to use. Although it is nice and large, it is remarkably stiff, so it doesn't pleat without using clothespins, even after daily use to break it in. The weave is very loose, so flour easily falls thru. It is not very absorbent, so dough often sticks. The bottom line I think I should have listened to Cooks Illustrated reviews and bought another brand.

Used it the same day i got it and am very happy with it, i just wish they would sell a 96" long couche. I sometimes make a lot of bread, so i hope this will hold a dozen baguettes? Fantastic product.

This is my favorite kitchen product. It works exactly as it should. You can tell it is high quality. I use it almost every day. Definitely worth purchasing!
