My childhood stories. Intelligent, funny humour, great illustrations, does not age, love it so much

I remember reading this book when I was a child and thought my son would love it as much as i did. Its a funny, smart but innocent book with lots of humor and action. Its something similar to "horrid henry" or " Dennis the menace" with the difference being Nicholas was written first so its completely pure and free of the modern days "dumbness" that books and tv programmes offer to kids. My son loves it.

Well packaged and delivered. The stories are short, hilarious and highly entertaining.I seldom laugh aloud reading books - this one I certainly did!Joy to read for a parent or children who are able to read reasonably well.I would recommend this.

The Nicholas books are such a joy!! They are very witty and beautifully written and the illustrations are divine.My son, who is 6, my husband and I all look forward to story-time when we can read another delicious chapter of this fabulous book. Enjoy!!!

I love Rene Goscinny's sense of humour. My children really enjoyed reading this book. Very funny! :-)

old stories are the best ones. nothing to compare to.

I was over the moon when my 8 year old started reading the Nicholas books. This is his favourite so far, full of funny short stories about the French schoolboy Nicholas and his friends. They are so messy and funny, I love listening to my sons laughs as he reads:)

My 9-year-old son loves Nicholas stories, and as we have the hard back editions of the first three books in the series I wanted to get another hardback copy even if it was second hand. Really fun stories that make my son chuckle as he reads them.
