There are many reasons why you should buy a good quality kettle. The most imortant one is safety. Many things can go wrong - a kettle is close to water source, it uses water, it uses a lot of electricity so there is a big current going through it, you can scald yourself etc. Do not buy a no-name brand fancy kettle with all the bells and whistles, glass bodies crack, keep warm feature is unhygenic, doo-dads always eventually break. This is why I bought this kettle. Bosch are a trusted brand. Beautifully designed by engineers, not marketers. Every important thing has been taken care of. It does the most important thing - boiling water - fast and efficiently. It is safe. You know it is not going to break. The handle is perfect. The lid pops open with a button. Kettle mounts in base easily and always without error. It is easy to clean. Gauge is easy to read. It looks good on the worktop and the cable tucks away so you can have just the right length. In short, this is safe, efficient, reliable and good value for money. What more could you want?

I still think £30 for a kettle is a lot and it actually has £10 off from £40. That said this is a very nice kettle. Looks good, thin tall design, matt finish. Boils quickly, works well, lids opens well. Lightweight when holding a couple of mugs of water.

This is a quick toaster, which cooks evenly. My only qualm would be that the heat setting is very high (5 out of 9 can burn toast). However, as I cook crumpets most of all, the toaster does these as a lovely, crisp, delicious snack! Toaster looks neat on the side, and the matte finish doesnt show fingerprints.

This is a very good kettle. The black compliments my other kitchen items. It boils really quickly and is quiet. It has a slight red band around the bottom. The only gripe I have is the non illumination. The video shows illumination but our kettle doesn't. There's a similar Bosch black kettle that is cheaper. Maybe check that out first. I would recommend this for its positives.

Nice looking toaster but you have to be very careful which setting you use. Even on number two it can burn the toast so I usually take it out before it pops up.

Yes it heats up the water fast but it's made up from plastic. The only thing that is made from steel is the inner bottom of the kittle

Pretty much what you want from a kettle, boils water fast. Not loud, in fact it's quieter and faster than my old kettle which was also a Bosch which lasting many years. Tired of the black, thought I'll try a bright one this time, worked out, looks good. Clean, calm and inviting. Easy to use, quality material, well made and with the matching toaster makes a nice set.

Strong well built cattle but it smells on plastic when water is boiling.
