The color's just the slightly tinted neutral shade I was hoping for, and a slight shimmery gloss. I'm personally a fan of the light vanilla smell. Feels nice, don't notice any stickiness. I haven't noticed whether it softens or moisturizes but I'm mainly just wearing it as a gloss. I think it's expensive, but maybe that's just the price of a good lip gloss/oil.

I'm one of those people who always has lip gloss on - I just don't feel dressed without it. Odyssey is my favorite right now - it has just the right weight (not too goopy or too thin) and it lasts for quite awhile. The shades are nice too, not as dark as lipstick but add some color to my lips. I keep giving Odyssey as gifts to friends and family, trying to spread the addiction ;) I've tried countless varieties and I'm sure will try countless more. But for now this is my go-to.

It seems like a big expense for some lip gloss but it's actually a LOT of lip gloss when you use it. The smell freaked me out when I first used it, but I learned to be okay with it. It does not smell like the description, but it doesn't smell bad per say. It mainly smells like lip gloss but with a bit of cocoa? Pros: Moisturizing, it's pretty moisturizing and has a nice sheen. The color is subtle as well, so if you're looking for something that gives a subtle purple color, this is perfect. Also, it makes your lips look very nice. Cons: Stickiness. This gloss honestly gets everywhere, which makes sense because it's a lip oil. Also, the color does not last long at all (which again, because it's a lip oil). But that's okay because you have so much, there's not really a problem with reapplying more often than usual. I say buy this if your looking for a gloss that will dull down a super red lip that you have, or if you really really want a subtle purple lip gloss that you will use OFTEN. This has lasted me a long, long time and I love using it with a bright red color to create a new combo. However, if you're not looking for this commitment to a purple lip oil, try elf because it gives about the same effect but for less and has less gloss in it. It is fun to apply though

I've been switching out my conventional makeup with less toxic options and I started with lip color because we literally eat it even if we don't intend to. As someone coming from a traditional stick formulation I wasn't too excited to go to this style because I don't like that the wand touches my lips and then goes back in to contaminate the rest of the product. I don't remove stars for that, but it goes to show how few glossy formulations with clean ingredients are out there that come in a stick form. I haven't actually found any. The closest I've found comes in a pencil form which I also purchased along with this one. OK the formulation - it goes on nice. Easy to apply. Good coverage. It's sticky which I don't like but I give it a pass and didn't take stars off for that either because a tube of gloss with a doefoot applicator is almost always sticky so it's to be expected. The color is true. But the formula made my lips feel dry within 10 minutes and thats the deal breaker for me. To me a gloss should make lips feel moisturized or at least protect the existing moisture if it doesn't add any. This made my lips feel worse. I would not repurchase this product because it makes my lips feel so dry.
