XXL WOODEN HAMMOCK STAND 400 x 150 cm

I have wanted a garden hammock for years and this one is gorgeous: very stylish and comfortable. The frame is beautiful wood and looks lovely in the garden.It does take two people to put the hammock together and it is not easy to get the holes aligned: it took us some pains to get it right but it was worth it.A very solid piece of outdoor furniture: it will hold two standard size adults comfortably and without any sense of unease that it might break.The hammock which is supplied with it is a flat hammock. This type is not nearly so stable as wraparound hammocks. Whether or not you use the guide ropes it is easy to get tipped out. For that reason, I bought a different, wraparound hammock for it. The fittings supplied are fine for both types.

Originally I was pleased with this until it began to fall apart after less than a year. All 6 of the wooden sections have started to delaminate and 2 to split within the layers. The supplier has refused to replace the faulty parts unless I can prove that it was due to a manufacturing problem and not due to misuse! They know full well that it nigh on impossible to do this.There is clearly a problem here - see review by Giromondo 22 July 2014 who reports same problems and equal lack of interest from supplier.

After an initial delivery error (the driver forgot to leave the hammock) the customer service sorted it and he returned a day later with the 2nd parcel. Easy to assemble, pretty much did it alone, just needed help with the first four bolts for the base. The hammock is super comfy and and whole base really sturdy, good quality wood. Would recommend.

This hammock stand was much cheaper than similar hammock stands we looked at and we are really pleased with it. It looks stylish and is solidly built. It came with a hammock with spacers but we use our own double hammock as I prefer a hammock without the spacing rod. The stand is longer and lower than our old one so the hammock is stretched flatter than we are used to but it swings well. Overall highly recommended.

Bought this last year, but only put it up yesterday . Pleasantly surprised by the quality .....timber sturdy and well oiled , fixings strong , even the hammock is ok, though we will be putting our own on to the frame. Easy to assemble , but it is 4m long , so you need a fair size space to fit it in !

Its huge, but was exceptionally well packaged and arrived slightly early. Easy to assemble. Not used it outdoors yet as ordered in October, but tried it out indoors and just love it (once I learned how to get into the hammock without falling on the floor). Seems very well made.

Nice looking - good price. Instructions could be a little more helpful but my son and I managed. We did treat it with preserver and it has been out since I bought it but will prob bring it in for the winter.

They advertise it for two, but if one leaves the hammock without notifying the other, the second person will be tipped off next second... lol
