🔧 Grip It and Hang It—Your Walls Will Thank You!
Gripit is a pack of 25 heavy-duty wall screws designed for quick and easy installation on drywall and hollow walls. With a remarkable load capacity of 250 lbs, these screws are perfect for securely mounting televisions, radiators, and other wall accessories. Made in the UK from durable materials, they are compatible with various plasterboard types and come with a universal drill bit for added convenience.

Easy to use, mounting screws can be removed and reinstalled
I needed to repaint a room that has heavy speaker mounts attached with toggles. I thought it would be easier to remove the mounts than mask them for painting, but when I went to re-attach the mounts the screws couldn't find the threads on most of the toggles. I decided to give these a try. Since there were already holes for the toggles, the spade bit didn't quite make round holes--they were slightly oblong. It turns out it didn't matter at all. The gripit anchors fit snugly anyway, and the speaker mounts attached securely to the wall. Just to tempt fate I removed some screws and put them back in, and it worked perfectly. I'll definitely use these for future projects.

Holds great but be careful drilling.
Does a great job holding my speaker mount to the wall. Tried these when the heaviest wall anchors wouldn't cut it. These are rock solid and hold the mount and speaker without issue.

Not as durable as they make it out ot be
Bought these to hang bathroom mirrors on. The mirror is about 95lbs, and I'm using two sets to support the mirror and the screws are bowing/ bending down. Just waiting for the plastic to give way. We will see what happens. Hopefully nothing

Holds a heavier guitar just fine
These are sturdier than they look. I have an 8.5 pound guitar hanging from a two-pronged wall hanger held in place by two of these after some fairly large traditional drywall anchors pulled out under the weight.

Great!
These worked great. We tried so many different things and this was the only product that kept our mirror on the wall! So happy I found these!!

Grips well
Tiny screws that tighten are hard to see

Needs improvement - beware of the requirement for a 15mm hole!
I’ve used these for a variety of tasks now, from handing a large mirror to hanging some oak shelf brackets. Whilst they do work, they do have issues, namely:A 15mm diameter hole is required for these, which isn’t a size that comes in any regular drill bit set. So you’re left with either a 13 or a 16mm hole, as 16 is a no go, drill a 13 and move the drill bit around until it fits snugly. If the hole is a smidgen too large, forget it.Secondly, the screw to force the metal wings to open behind the grip it itself is finicky. I’ve tried 5 different screwdrivers and none give me the feeling that they’ve actually turned the screw correctly. Push too hard and it breaks.. I’m simply living in hope that I did indeed open the wings fully.Room for improvement? Definitely - at bare minimum, a better screw portion that maybe had a click or something, to let you know you had fitted it correctly. Secondly, a stronger material for the plastic that doesn’t break upon screwdriver insertion.Shame, as otherwise, I find the concept of these fantastic!

Works a treat but only if you receive the metal version!
The first time I bought these, the arms that come out behind the plasterboard were made of metal and were very robust and worked a treat. When I then recently bought another pack, the metal arms have been replaced by plastic ones, and the whole Gripit felt cheap and flimsy. On a couple of occasions it warped whilst being tightened. With the metal version of these they work an absolute treat. Yes they need a 15mm hole (not a very common drill bit so I bought the Gripit bit for a few quid), but once it’s up it is the sturdiest fitting I’ve come across. Big bonus is that compared to wall anchors etc they don’t need a deep cavity. Even with the thick plasterboard using their cut-out tool, they fit well and strongly. Very quick and easy to put the fittings in. Currently holding up a 49in TV and curtain rails.Just hope they aren’t permanently switching to the cheap flimsy plastic version of these (even though the metal ones are shown in the pics).

Grip-it doesn't grip it.
I expected great things from these raw plugs as having paper thin walls I have struggled to find the right raw plugs to hang anything heavier than a picture.I followed the instructions but the grip-it didn't attach to the wall as described and after trying to remedy this the grip it fell through the drilled hole so it was a great disappointment.I will continue my search for ideal raw plugs for my plaster board walls but grip-it is not them.I feel they are over priced and over hyped.

Really Impressed!
Really impressed by these little fixings. I had a problem with some traditional metal spiral type plasterboarding fixings when fitting a towel radiator to our bathroom wall. One of the fixings chewed up the plasterboard and was just spinning in the wall so I was looking for something to replace it and provide a stronger fixing when I found these GripIt fixings. The only slightly fiddly aspect is getting hold of a 15mm hole cutting bit (but I found one on Amazon for a few pounds). These fixings are really clever and provide such a solid fixing that I decided to replace all four of the mounting points for my towel radiator with GripIt fixings (apparently a single fixing can hold 70kg and I am inclined to believe that!).The only thing that might not make them ideal for some jobs is that l, once they are installed they do have a small lip that runs around the edge of them and stands slightly proud of the plasterboard surface. We simply painted over these with the same colour we were painting the bathroom wall and they are basically invisible

Do it right and they will work fine
I think the only way you could review this negatively would be if the plasterboard or drill bit or measurement wasn't right (eg match 15mm grip its with 15mm plasterboard). The other reviewer might have used the screws provided whereas I used my own screws which were more substantial and thicker and longer. Maybe that's it , you don't have to use their screws. If so I can understand the disappointment of the other reviewer. The first one I tried didn't work right but it was down to me not drilling the hole precisely or slowly enough. I took my time after my first failure and got a nice , neat hole and a snug fit , tapped it in and a turn to the right and its was fine. After I figured out what I was doing I put 15 into fresh plasterboard and every time I got a nice strong screw fitting in place. No loose turning screws , a nice pinch onto the wall. Its like anything DIY , get the right bits and use them the right way and you are OK if you don't rush it. I would recommend testing one on an old piece of plasterboard first. In short , they do absolutely work really well. I know this because the one I got wrong had to come out and I felt I was going to rip a hole in the plasterboard as it came out! Just ordered two more packs. Quick postage as well which helps.
