Mandatory for 2000 VW Beetle!
I had a 2000 VW Beetle for a while and the crappy built-in visor barely covers any of the door window, and those windows are tall and let a ton of sun in! I don't know if they fixed it in later Bugs but it was a complete oversight by VW. I got the Visormates and strung both of them together and it covered the whole window! My commute had the sun on the driver's side both to and from work, so these kept me sane for a few years. My only complaint is the elastic bands got a little loose after a year or so, so it started sagging. But that was probably my fault cause I don't think you're supposed to string both together, it was a bunch of weight on the far-end bands. But these could easily be replaced with a new set of Visormates since they're cheap, or the thrifty could cut 'n sew the bands tighter themselves.I finally got a new car and will absolutely be buying these for it also cause my new car's visors also do not extend! (cmon automakers!)

Simple and Good
Have a 2013 BMW X3 which, like other cars recently, has very short sun visors.Design-wise, the BMW visors are short because the center controls on the ceiling are big, with lights, switches, microphones, sun-roof controls, emergency contact switches, etc. When I swung the visors to the driver-side window, there was a big gap letting the sun through, very bothersome. Looking around on Amazon for solutions, found many that only dealt with sun coming in straight ahead of you through the windshield. Where I live, I drive a lot almost due south or north, so morning or afternoon sun blasts me through the driver's side window which many similar devices did not handle. These do.After looking around on Amazon and elsewhere for solutions I found these, liked their simplicity and price and bought them thinking they were inexpensive enough so if I didn't like them, it wasn't a big deal.Compared to other contraptions, I liked the simplicity of this system. I've had them for about two months now and like them. They are easy to slide out and back again with one hand quickly and do the job of blocking the gap I had. The single elastic strap seems strong enough to keep everything in alignment and from drooping too badly. The visor card is light but strong enough to keep it's shape so far, and the gray color blends in nicely. I can still use the sun visor mirror and light when I use just a single strap - I have extras if I wanted a stronger hold but it would eliminate being able to use the mirror and light in the visor. I got extras in case the single strap I have gets weaker over time. All in all a good, simple, well-designed product that is inexpensive but works well without a lot of gadgetry to break.

Durable, easily adjustable, functional
One order consists of two rigid durable plastic boards (in which light does not penetrate) and four elastic bands (two for each sun visor).I was pleased that after I placed my order, the company asked me the car make and model. This insures that they send me an appropriately sized set. As expected, my sun visor extenders easily fit my sun visors and blend in well. I think the best part of this extender set is that it is easily removable, adjustable, and be reused for different cars. So even if I switch cars, I can take my loved sun visor extender sets with me!If I was really cheap, I figure that I could use flaps of cardboard and rubber bands to do the same function as these extenders. HOWEVER, I drive a luxury car brand, so I choose to buy a product such as Visormates to make my car consistently looking clean, smooth, and classic.I think that this would make a great gift for any loved one who is regularly frustrated with their car's crappy sun visors.9/29/2015 update: I'm still using my Visormates. Initially, it seemed like a luxury/novelty item. Nowadays, my 45 min commute involves many twists and turns of backroads in rural areas. Visormates have easily become a safety necessity. It continues to block the sunlight at bizarre angles from the driver's and passenger's sides. Elastic bands are still the same shape and have NOT deteriorated at all. The plastic plates have warped a little bit, but they've been suffering a summer of typical 110 degree weather outside (regardless of my slightly opening the car windows). I have always been happy with my purchase, but this summer 2015 has made these Visormates my lifesaver. I remember my life without these visors and I'm so glad I never need to suffer anymore from the sun's glare.

Works well, but elastic bands degrade quickly
I've had these for three and a half years, and while they worked well for a while, the elastic bands have degraded and can no longer be used. They are much too loose and are shedding white rubber bits. This is presumably due to sun exposure, but that should be expected with a product like this. Visormates sells replacement bands, but they are overpriced ($12 + $6.98 shipping).

Works good, but wish it had three straps per side.
It works great at covering up that annoying gap some cars have when the visor is on the side but the sun still is on your face.If you have a north/south commute and spend a lot of time with the visor on the side this eliminates that gap from the end of the visor to the back of the window. This basically allows you to make the visor “wider” when it is unsnapped and to the side. If you are looking to make the visor “taller” there are other productsThe seller even contacted me to confirm they would fit.My only complaint is that for my car it would be better to have three elastic straps per side instead of 2. The gap is large and to cover it I need to slide the extender as far as I can; to keep it from sagging I need 2 straps near the edge; however when I put it away having the 2 straps on one side means the other side kind of hangs down (over time in the heat this might get worse)
