Brilliant! Shame it's single use though
Our family of seven (age range 21 to, er, 50-something) had a great time trying to solve the puzzles and escape with the werewolf antidote. We got out in around 40-45 minutes. Everything worked properly, the puzzles were challenging but not impossible (or, to be more precise, the younger elements within our party seemed to understand what they were supposed to do), and fun was had by all. For a single use game the price might seem steep, but compare it to the cost of going to an actual Escape Room and it suddenly seems quite reasonable. Recommended!

Fun and great for beginners to home escape rooms
I think some of the reviews for this product are a little harsh, Especially on the quality of the puzzles. It is the case that a few are printed on paper but the theme of the whole escape room runs throughout in its design and most importantly the puzzles are logical. Its hard to give a full review without any spoilers but to us, the role the paper puzzles played in the whole experience made total logical sense. Combined with the hands on elements this makes a great place to start if you've tried actual escape rooms and wish to try one at home. We got this while it was on a lightning deal so came to less than £25. That seems about right price-wise and its RRP of over £30 seems a bit much. Overall, theres lots of elements here which made it a fun experience and if Mattel bought out a second one then we would definitely buy it.

Good for older children and adults
Good fun game for older children (age 12 and above) and adults, although we found that with 8 of us, everyone took a part of the puzzle to solve and we didn't always communicate together to share information. We alsmost did it in the alloted time but did need a clue or 2!

I’m locked in and hooked!! Fab game!
Absolutely love it. It’s not for the faint hearted for sure, but if you love escape rooms and love putting your brain into action then this is fantastically perfect. There are lots of surprises and it kept us entertained for the full hour (plus a teeny bit more) there are lots to do and would certainly benefit from a number of team members especially one with good organisation skills as it’s easy to get lost on which bit you’re working on and when and what you have solved and what you haven’t but that’s the magic of it. It’s disappointing that it’s not a play over and over again thing but that’s the nature of this type of game - we have reset now and will be gifting to friends to try and keep it going in our circle. I hope to see more from this company it was really good fun.

Escape room in a box! No spoilers
I have Played quite a few different "escape rooms in a box" games (Exit, Escape this rooms) and I got this because was on offer and I really wanted to try it out. Without going into details, (spoilers) I was a little disappointed with this one. Compared to other escape rooms games it started off fine but it became hectic and confusing at points. I didn't know what puzzles had been solved or what needed to be solved and felt like I was sidelined. now this could be because we were not communicating as we should have been. But, in the end, my wife and sister-in-law took over and was solving the puzzles, while I and my brother-in-law were sat scanning the contents of the game for more clues, and failing. There are some really nice gimmicks in the game, however, some felt like they had just taken puzzles from a puzzle book that you get in a newsagent. Plus there was a lack of story behind it. Also, this game is not reusable afterwards unless you photocopy the contents beforehand or while you are playing. But this will spoil the game or waste your valuable time.

Challenging and fun - highly recommended
Bought this to play with a small youth group aged 13-16 plus their leaders. We completed it in 63 minutes - everyone got involved and, following the advice in the instructions, if someone got stuck on a puzzle we swapped round and somebody else always managed to solve it. The level of difficulty was just right and having physical props to interact with was much better than just solving a series of riddles or mental puzzles.Much like a murder mystery game, you can only play this once but the cost-per-player made this a cheap hour's entertainment for our group and I will be lending it to friends and family. Hope they make some more like this.

Boring
As a family we are big fans of the Exit escape room games, so thought we'd take a chance on forking out the extra expense for this due to all the positive reviews. Unfortunately it turned out to be a total waste of money! The whole thing feels fairly well made (apart from the combination padlock!) and the graphics are good, but the puzzles really let it down. One puzzle is a word search, another is a crossword, which already feels like a huge rip off as I can get as many of those as I want online for free! Some of the 'puzzles' aren't puzzles at all, they simply give you the answer but it's presented in an unusual way. The combination padlock popped open on it's own as we were attempting to put the correct combination in. It also feels hugely wasteful as there is loads of plastic which you just end up throwing away. Overall, the puzzles were poor and the whole thing is just hugely overpriced.

Excellent experience, very highly recommended
Bought this a birthday present for my husband who is a massive locked room fanatic and we absolutely loved this experience. The locked boxes take this game a step ahead of the usual escape room in a box as you get the sense of excitement when you enter a code and hear the click of the padlock opening! Found the storyline well written and the theming works well with the puzzles, everything is tied together very well. Our only negative point would be that the Alexa connectivity does not work if you are in the UK. We read about the skill beforehand and thought there would be something in the box to explain it, but it is not referenced at all. We didn't want to google it incase we spoiled the game. It is not a requirement for the game and we enjoyed it just the same without it.

This is an excellent game. It comes very close to a real-life escape game! Lots of puzzles, lots of stuff for the players to do. A good variety of puzzles, too. Some easy, some hard. NOTE: If you want to replay the game without having to reprint materials, tell the players to write in pencil -- and very lightly -- on the papers. With a good eraser, you'll be able to remove the marks completely, and then you can host the game with new players, or pass it along to friends and family.

As escape room enthusiasts, my husband and I are always looking for fun at home versions. We have done all of the available Unlock and Exit games, which are great, but this one has a different quality too it, mostly being there is a lot more "stuff". We enjoy having more physical puzzles and trinkets to play with, so that was a great feature in our eyes. The puzzles were clever, fun, and for the most part well designed with a few minor exceptions. We found the wording occasionally odd, and there was one puzzle that was almost irrelevant, however overall it was money well spent and well worth the $22. It was really nice to have physical locks to undo, but, of course at such a low price point, they weren't high quality. With all that said, this is still a 5-star product and well worth the money spent. We played with 2 adults which was so fun because we got to be involved in almost every puzzle. It took us 49 minutes to escape and we used just one hint.

This was a super fun game, but while it says there are 19 different games, there isnt. Its just 1 game, and 1 solve. It says that you can go online and reprint the clues and such for a 'new game' but the solve is always the same. Still really fun the first time though.
