Closure In Moscow - Pink Lemonade. An evolutionary step for a band that has amazing potential.
Awesome album that sounds great on vinyl. This band has come along way since First Temple, which I love. There just both very very different albums. Some might not even think there the same band at a glance. But if you take the ride through this album you'll hear whispers of First Temple. In the best of ways. You also see how much this group of people has evolved. Would have given it a 5 star rating but there is one track that just bugs me, "The Brahmatron Song." There are parts of this song that have potential to be awesome, but allot of this track sounds very reminiscent of some s***ty Nickleback song. Weird because there's no other moment on this album that i am not please. Of course this is just my opinion so take it with a grain of salt. Other than that BUY IT ON VINYL. it sounds nice.

Not what I expected
This is so much different than the old Closure in Moscow. I still haven't really come to enjoy it like I did the EP and the first album. I enjoy the music and style itself, don't get me wrong, it's a new great direction... But I feel that some of it is really over done. A lot of the songs are really amazing and have great messages, but the rest are really strung out. I heard a lot of great things about it and my expectations were really high, but I just couldn't get into it.

It all fits together so well.
Genius. I don't agree with everything he sings about, but most of it very eye opening. The way it all fits together is just.. ah. After listening to this many many times, I'm still blown away. I discovered this band at a A Skylit Drive headlining concert in Colorado Springs. I didn't give them a fair chance at the concert because he came out dressed like Jesus. I was fuming, but after having listened to the CD I'm in awe. Still trying to figure out the Jesus thing though.. don't like mockery.

One of the best
This concept album is some of the most creative and musical work I've been inspired to hear in almost a decade. With some great speakers, the whole world fades away. Just buy it. Support this band. It blows away their previous album... a dramatically different sound with so much range... from blues to jazz to pop to hard progressive rock...

Amazon did everything perfect. Got here quick, no problems, etc. I just don't dig this album like the others. Disappointing.

Diverse, interesting and memorable.
Diverse, interesting and memorable. Pink Lemonade has a similar kind of "cosmic trip-out narrative" as Deloused In The Comatorium or The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway. The sound palette is restrained enough to prevent any of the tracks from seeming too "gimmicky" - well, except the last one but by then it's been earned. It's worth reading the track-by-track description of the story as explained by the vocalist and published online by Alt Press. Like the other albums I referred to you'll have a hard time following the narrative without help and it can seem very disjointed - but the themes are there and are worth taking in.The biggest issue is probably the over-use of distortion. There's a lot of creative clipping in background elements, which is a legit choice. The overall saturation level can get a bit much though, especially when backing vocals are layered in and it sounds like the whole vocal bus (or maybe overall mix?) is clipping. There is some dynamic range in song arrangements, but it is still a fatiguing mix overall. I'd rather have more headroom and turn it up!Recommended sample track: Neoprene ByzantineTune in my head for days: That Brahmatron Song
