So far, I am loving this spoon/paddle for stirring in my largest stock pot which is 12 inches tall. In the past, I tried to do this with shorter spoons, and sometimes couldn't get to the bottom of the pot if it was full. I also had to be careful not to get burned when using a spoon that didn't reach the bottom. With this longer spoon, I have 6" to hold and get a good grip even in the tallest pot. Since this spoon is not metal, I don't have to worry about it scratching my stainless steel pots. Even though this spoon is longer than most, the uses are not limited to tall pots. It also works well in smaller pots and even frying pans without being cumbersome. It is also very easy to clean with warm soapy water. Since this spoon is made of unfinished wood, I think it's a good idea to coat it with mineral oil now and then to protect the wood. I hope this review was helpful for you.

Long & strong enough to stir a 6 gallon pot of thick goulash! Couldn’t ask for a better stirrer! So glad we found it!
