An enjoyable if occasionally fiddly kit to build. This was my first ever land vehicle model (and it shows). I was absolutely delighted with the level of detail Italeri have included at this scale (especially for a 1980 tooling). The decals are good quality and went on without much effort. The fit at times wasn't great, but this may be down to my lack of experience so your mileage may vary. The paint/colour guide isn't as detailed as I'd like, also from checking reference photos online the white/green parts on the windows aren't strictly accurate but that isn't a big deal. I brush painted the model with Revell enamels and acrylics and weathered it with enamels and hard pastels (chalk). I would recommend this kit to someone who's already completed a land vehicle or two and has a decent idea of what they're doing.

Good detail and choice of configuration.

Nice little kit of an old series 3 lwb. The kit has some nice details and is open for a bit of self design. It comes with a soft top ie canvas with a tailgate but it also comes with a hard top back with an additional safari roof top to go on with a full back door too. This can give you a good scope to adapt it. Only downside was the hard top had quite a twist to it so needs some substantial twisting to try and straighten it to be able to use it. All in all not a bad little kit.

I've got a thing for Land Rover's and have been able to find few models of them. Apart from a kit of the special forces Pink Panther I've not been able to find a model of the classic Defender. Till I found this Italeria kit. Came in short order (kudos to Inand out_Canada) exactly as described. Kit was well molded with very little flashing. Numerous body panels (instead of one piece) that fit together very well with only a little body putty needed. Overall very pleased.

Jammer genoeg werd de doos in de gleuf van de brievenbus gestopt waardoor de doos helemaal stuk was, dit was een cadeautje, hopelijk is de inhoud niet stuk. Verder leek het mij wel allemaal in orde.
