This is the best bread knife I’ve ever used, so sharp. Be careful with this knife and make sure it’s covered when not in use, I kept the packaging to put it in.

I came across this knife via a review by American Test Kitchen on U-Tube. It is a fantastic knife which has made my life keenly more interesting, cutting home made brad that is. It works very well on soft tomatoes as well. I feel it will work for years to come/

I make my own sourdough and my 8inch Scanpan bread knife just wasn't cutting it anymore so I bought the 10inch Mercer. It is excellent. It's longer for better sawing action, blade is a good thickness so it doesn't bend but also isn't so thick it makes it harder to cut. Finally it's a good price. Definitely recommend.

Amazing knife! For a long time, we've been using serrated steak knives, our high end German chef knife or a serrated ceramic knife for cutting bread. We eat crusty bread and my wife bakes sourdough and we got frustrated how difficult it is to get through that hard crust without crushing the insides. So we gave up and bought this knife after seeing positive reviews online. At this price, why the heck not? This knife goes beyond our expectations. We bought a crusty loaf the next day and it cut through the loaf like nothing. My wife was excited.... about cutting bread. She was so excited, I had to take a turn and my eyes just went wide. Slicing bread is like a newfound joy. At this point, we're literally going out of our way to buy crusty bread and baguettes just so we can take them home and slice them. This knife is a new treasure in our kitchen now. The blade is sturdy and sharp. The handle is comfortable to hold and easy to control. The whole thing feels solid and well made. If you're looking for an inexpensive bread knife, don't hesitate.
