Raidsonic IB-MP401AIR - Music Streaming Receiver - DLNA/UPnp/Airplay - Android/iOS,WiFi,SPDIF,USB2.0

I mentioned to an audiophile friend that I wished I could stream my music direct from computer to home stereo without needing to transfer to SD cards for a player. Within an hour he had installed Minimserver on the PC, Lin Kazoo on my tablet, and BubbleUPnP on an old tablet connected to the stereo. Wonderful, but the old tablet died soon after he left. I searched for a dedicated renderer and ordered the Raidsonic MP401 (which was delivered very promptly). It does not work out of the box but the setup requirements are few and you just need to follow the documentation sheet slavishly to connect to it as an access point and get it to recognise your WiFi hub. It was not using the Openhome extension standard so I had to replace Linn Kazoo with BubbleUPnp on my tablet. Since then it has worked flawlessly despite being in a room with poor WiFi signal. The device is small, neat, and inexpensive. I am one very happy bunny

Basically it says it doesn't have a wifi password, but it has WPA2 wifi, which means you need a minimum 8 digit password. Can't enter a blank, so I couldn't even connect to it to set it up. Tried to email and tweet their support and got nothing back. Returned it.

Does what it supposed, doesn’t seem to be affected by incoming ‘phone calls or emails and so far no random drop outs. Left a bad review this morning but it was my error. Hope this overrides it.

Ich war schon länger auf der Suche nach einer Musik-Streaming-Box. Der Ausschlag, die ICYIB-MP401Air zu bestellen, kam durch die eben doch positiven Bewertungen und meine grundsätzliche Unerschrockenheit - gepaart natürlich mit dem attraktiven Preis.Das Bundle kommt wie schon mehrfach beschrieben:- edel anmutendes Aluminiumgehäuse, sauber verarbeitet- WLAN-Antenne zum Anschrauben (Abzug: die Antenne ist nur drehbar, schwenken lässt sie sich nicht. Eine optimierte Ausrichtung zum WLAN-Sender ist somit nur bedingt möglich)- Netzteil für die SpannungsversorgungDie Einrichtung ist problemlos. Über das eigene WLAN der Box gelangt man auf die Konfigurationsseite des Streamers, die Einrichtung ist fast intuitiv. Musik überträgt meine Box per Klinkenkabel 3,5mm auf meine Stereoanlage.Schnell noch eine App für die Bedienung über das iPhone installiert, los geht der Spaß. So weit, so gut.Leider ereilten mich dann auch hier schnell die Probleme, die immer wieder in den (negativen) Rezensionen auftauchen:Die Box verliert die Verbindung zum Heim-WLAN (worüber ja auch mein Fritz-Box Mediaserver läuft) und verlässt den Streaming-Betrieb. Dabei ist kein reproduzierbares Muster zu erkennen: mal nach 30 Sekunden, mal nach 25 Minuten.Also betreibe ich -da unerschrocken -Troubleshooting (zurückschicken geht ja immer noch):Firmware kontrollieren: i.O. bzw. keine Änderung möglich (die Installierte FW ist neuer, als die auf der Herstellerseite erhältlich)WLAN-Einstellungen prüfen: IEEE-Standards / Funkkanal ändern bzw. mit herumexperimentieren -> keine BesserungReset der Box durchführen: -> keine BesserungUpNp-Client auf dem Handy wechseln: -> keine Besserung (Problem besteht auch mit Apple's AirPlay als direkte Funktion)Google und Foren bemühen: -> ein interessanter Foreneintrag ([...]) weist auf eine evtl. Lösung und zugleich auf ein Sicherheitsrisiko der Box hin. Per Telnet ist ein interner Zugriff auf die Box möglich. Dies stellt natürlich eine Sicherheitslücke dar, aber das Ausführen von Kommandos oder aber das Ändern der internen Konfigurationsdatei mit Startparametern ist damit möglich. Ein Hinweis, dass das Abschalten des internen Box-WLANs zur Besserung des Netzverhaltens führt, halte ich für plausibel und probiere ihn über einen Kommandozeilenparameter via Telnet aus. Das interne WLAN der Box ( IP 10.1.1.1.) verschwindet aus meiner Netzwerkumgebung. Der anschließende Test verläuft positiv, die Box spielt je nach Belieben stundenlang Musik oder Internetradiostreams ab. Auch ein Beenden des Clients und die Wiederaufnahme des Streamings funktioniert dauerhaft und ohne Probleme.Wer jetzt befürchtet, er könne die Box nicht mehr konfigurieren (da internes WLAN nicht mehr verfügbar), der sei beruhigt: Nach dem Reset der Box läuft auch das interne WLAN wieder!Fazit: ich behalte die Box, da sie nach diesem "Kunstgriff" keine Macken und damit Grund mehr zur Beanstandung bietet - außer, dass dieser Eingriff an sich ja schon eine Besonderheit (im negativen Sinne) darstellt. Die Musikqualität ist für meine Ansprüche absolut ausreichend.Nicht getestet habe ich die USB-Funktion (Media-Dateien direkt über einen Stick an die Box anzuschließen) und die Medien-Übertragung über das optische S/PDIF-Kabel.Wer also das Hantieren mit Telnet nicht scheut und glaubt, das Sicherheitsrisiko über diese Schnittstelle einschätzen zu können, der ist mit dieser Box gut bedient!

Me encanta. Todos mis dispositivos ahora los oigo en los altavoces de la televisión (equipo de audio 3.1) y sobre todo es por wifi. Además potencia la señal wifi de la casa. Más que recomendado

In linea con la recensione che mi ha preceduto confermo il funzionamento non completamente soddisfacente di questo piccolo apparecchio.Intendiamoci, fa il suo lavoro, ma non è immune da interferenze o imperfezioni.Il collegamento da smartphone (Android) è il più agevole: tramite l'indirizzo ip 10.1.1.1 si entra direttamente nell'interfaccia di configurazione dell'apparecchio per collegarlo al modem-router wireless e per impostare una password di sicurezza.Una volta completato l'allacciamento all'impianto hi-fi con il cavo in dotazione (RCA), possiamo cominciare il test.La musica riprodotta da Smartphone (con BubbleUPnP) ha un buon suono, ma nulla di eccezionale e il volume è un po' basso.Le cose cambiano (in peggio!) quando si connette il PC (Windows 10 nel mio caso) all'apparecchio.Personalmente non sono riuscito a connettere Windows Media Player e MediaMonkey (consigliato dal produttore) allo streamer.Entrambi i software individuano l'apparecchio, ma una volta selezionato il suono non esce.Ho anche aggiornato il firmware, ma nulla. Il sito della Raidsonic inoltre, non aiuta a sciogliere l'arcano.Farò ovviamente ulteriori test con altre configurazioni, ma per ora il risultato è questo.ITunes invece si connette immediatamente, consentendo di riprodurre sull'impianto tutta la propria libreria musicale.Il suono rimane comunque relativamente basso e povero di dinamica.Un fastidioso click accompagna inoltre il cambio di traccia e alcuni vuoti di riproduzione (interferenze?) si avvertono di tanto in tanto.Funziona bene l'attacco USB dello streamer, a quale è possibile attaccare un hard-disk esterno, pilotabile poi tramite Smartphone (sempre con software dedicato).In definitiva, visto il prezzo (42,00 euro inclusa spedizione!) e se non si hanno pretese "hi-end", questo streamer della Raidsonic può più o meno agevolmente riprodurre il vostro catalogo musicale su uno stereo o un altro riproduttore (soundbar, soundbase, etc.) connesso tramite cavo ottico o RCA.Si tenga alla larga chi, poco incline ai compromessi, cerca un prodotto di alta qualità.

Si comme moi vous avez des difficultés a diffuser votre musique venant de votre mac ou tout autre ibudule en utilisant la fonction Bluetooth, cet appareil est fait pour vous.En fait le principe est des plus simple, il utilise votre réseau Wi-Fi et la diffusion de la musique ce fait par le biais de ce canal de "communication".L'utilisation est très facile, vous sélectionnez cet appareil grâce à la fonction Airplay et puis magie, cela fonctionne.Malheureusement la configuration du récepteur n'est pas nécessairement évidente, en effet il faut se connecter au réseau de la passerelle pour y parvenir, dommage qu'il ne soit pas possible de la faire en USB ou alors avec une fonction de connexion rapide.Revenons au boitier lui-même, il possède deux sorties audio, une optique et une sortie de type "casque", attention les câbles ne sont pas fournis.Il permet aussi grâce à son port USB, de lire la musique qui se trouve sur un élément inséré sur celui-ci (une clé USB par exemple).Il peut arriver que le boitier ne diffuse plus de la musique, mais dans mon cas il s'agit plus d'un bug lié à iTunes.Bref, ce boitier est vraiment idéal pour toute personne voulant diffuser de la musique avec plus de facilité et avec une meilleure qualité que le Bluetooth, mais attention à la qualité de votre réseau Wi-Fi.

Después de evaluar distintos productos me decanté por este. Pero reconozco que no está muy bien acabado técnicamente hablando.Aunque hace todo lo que dice, presenta algunos problemas de configuración: el sistema para conectarse a la wifi que tengas en casa deja que desear.No soporta wifis que se hallen ocultas (Hidden), ni tampoco si utilizas passwords con signos de puntuación. En pocas palabras, no te permite definir manualmente a que wifi que quieres que se conecte.
