EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THIS WIRE. I spent hours trying to figure out what wire to buy for my new sound system for my truck amplifier. Amazon was full of mis information and untrustworthy reviews. To figure out everything I purchased both the SoundBox 0 Gauge AMP KIT and the Rockford Fosgate 4 gauge OFC Amp Kit to compare."OFC": Oxygen Free Copper. Copper wire basically has a little less resistance and retains more WATTS or AMPS over a given distance then aluminum clad wire. It's not a huge difference roughly 10-20% difference, aviation use's aluminum wire to save weight and it works great for jet's and helicopters."CCA": Copper Clad Aluminum. This is aluminum wire coated in copper to help with corrosion and conductivity. Copper is superior to aluminum copper clad however aluminum copper clad wire works great and most will not notice the difference.PRO:The soundbox wire is CCA wire and is much larger then the standard AWG wire diameter which is 8mm, the soundbox wire measured over 10mm and would work great for anyone needed that large of a wire. The wire is HUGE 1/2" diameter with the coating. The power and ground wire are exactly the same size and quality. I was very surprised on how large this wire was and it is the real deal 0/1 Gauge. Buy with confidence for the price.CON:The wire is HUGE! It's too big for my single 2600 Watt amplifier so I'm going to use the Rockford Fosgate 4 gauge to save some space running the wire.Please see my pictures comparing the SoundBox 0/1 wire to Rockford Fosgate 4 gauge and also compared to a Stinger Pro 8 Gauge wire.

WOW.....ordered it and it beat the "Amazon Prime" things I ordered at the same time(I ordered on a Friday and the weekend delayed the Prime materials). So VERY VERY quick shipping. It was a pretty good kit. Everything I needed. If I was "competing" or had a $10K system, I might have went with a Fosgate kit just to "show off" the name on the wire and fuse holder, but for me and my "just needs to sound good system", this kit is great!

Extremely happy with the wiring, it’s great for the price, it’s lighter than I thought it would be but I’m hoping it can take 4000 watts continuously but it definitely looks nice. Bottom photos are compared with high quality 4 gauge.

Unless you're looking for "the absolute best" these wires will work just fine for most anything you can throw at them.I used this cord set to hook up a 5000w inverter, and so far its been able to handle anything I've thrown at it.There are some that say that the insulation around the wire is thicker and that means the wire isn't a true 0 gauge, but I personally haven't had any problems with it. In fact I kinda like the thicker insulation so if the wire is rubbing against something it won't eat through the insulation and short the wire...but maybe thats just me.Bottom line is that for the price, you can't beat this kit. Buy it and you won't be let down.

I sent these back to get a 4 gauge but same brand.

its more like a size 4 not 1/0

My first go at wiring audio and very satisfied with this kit. Fuse is a bit to big for any amp I was using so make sure you also order an applicable fuse to go with your install.
