Great handy tool for garage DIYs
Great product and high quality material. The brass or copper tip is a good feature that does not leave marks on the hood strut.

Had for six years
I purchased this tool in June of 2013. The most impressive thing, in my opinion, is the brass tip that makes contact with the rod. This makes it hard to do any further damage. I never had a problem fitting any rod size I came across. The large knob is also a bonus because it makes it easy the tighten. Mine came with a large green colored tag that is still attached, it's a reminder to remove when your done but, not needed because it's really hard to close the hood once this is in use.I'm glad to see amazon brought this item back. I highly recommend if you are in need of a lift support clamp.
