A lovely looking book with a good amount of text. Useful when teaching infants about CNY, and nice link to measurement of time. Includes some simple and positive description of the animals/characters of the Chinese Zodiac. If reading in class, be prepared by having a calendar so you can work out which is each child's year. They love to find out if they are the kind ox or good team playing goat etc...

The images were very appealing for children. The story was presented in an easy to understand and appealing manner.

The order of 8, 9 , 10 animals should be Goat, Monkey and Rooster. Otherwise, beatifully illustrated and easy to read.

This book is great. The Great Race is written beautifully yet explains in simple ways to help young children understand the legend. The illustrations are really nice too.

For over £7, this book is printed with very poor quality of paper and the cover curl after first flip through. The story and illustration are very basic, perhaps it is good for children to learn to count and an introduction to the story. There is an error of the order of the goat, monkey and rooster in the book and no mention of cat and mice which is rather interesting and perhaps crucial part of the story. My child learned it in school and kept asking why it is not in the book.

Bought for my granddaughter who is part Chinese. Tells the story of Chinese years well. Very colourful illustrations.

Book story and images wonderful. Very talented artist and perfect to teach about the year of the tiger 🐅It's a pity some of the text is on darker colours so tricky to read/show to a child.The quality of the physical book isn't amazing, I think printed by Amazon not very sturdy cover. I've had this before with books and it's fine for me to read to kids in class but I think it wouldn't last long in small hands.
